2.Introduction
“From a GTO badge to an Olympic medal!”
Currently, the problem of the health and physical development of preschool children, which has sharply deteriorated over the past decades, is of particular relevance. Preserving and strengthening the health of the younger generation is an important task of the Russian government. V.V. Putin proposed reviving the “Ready for Labor and Defense” physical training program for children and adults that existed in the USSR in a new format with modern standards that would correspond to the level of physical development of each age category. After all, the first stage of the Physical Education and Sports Complex falls on the age of preschoolers over 6 years old. On March 24, 2014, the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation “On the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” (GTO)” was signed. A regulation “On the All-Russian physical culture and health complex “GTO” has been developed, approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 540 of June 11, 2014.
The motor activity of a child and his development is the principle of the natural upbringing of a child, and GTO fits very organically into this process, as a final factor. Participation in GTO events increases interest in physical education and a healthy lifestyle for both children and adults. Preparation and participation in passing the GTO standards will create conditions for strengthening the health of children, nurturing strong-willed qualities, developing the desire to win and self-confidence. The All-Russian physical culture and sports complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” (GTO) is a full-fledged program and regulatory framework for the physical education of the country’s population, aimed at the development of mass sports and the improvement of the nation’s health. The GTO complex provides for preparation for implementation and direct implementation by the population of various age groups (from 6 to 70 years and older) of established regulatory requirements at three levels of difficulty corresponding to the gold, silver and bronze insignia “Ready for Labor and Defense” (GTO).
3. Design part
3.1.Relevance of the project
The All-Russian physical culture and health complex “GTO” has gained great popularity in recent years. Every person who is ready to pass the GTO standards starting from the age of 6 can take part in it. In preschool age, the foundation is laid for the physical development, health and character of a person in the future. The physical development of a child is, first of all, motor skills, sports games, and competitions. Participation in sports events increases children's interest in physical education and a healthy lifestyle. The preparation and participation of preschoolers in passing the GTO standards will not only create conditions for improving health, nurturing strong-willed qualities, developing the desire to win and self-confidence, but also bring them closer to the Olympic Games and feel the spirit of the Olympics. During competitions, children not only receive joy from their results, but also learn to worry about their comrades, and also feel like small participants in a huge team of Russian athletes.
Preserving and strengthening the health of students, their physical, mental and spiritual-moral development, forming the foundations of a safe lifestyle are priority areas of work for the educational organization.
Personal development through sports begins in childhood, where motivation is the driving force behind participation in sports activities. The psychological conditions for the development of sports motivation, which encourage children to participate in competitions, train intensively, work on themselves, interact with peers, give up some attractive leisure activities in favor of training and sports competitions, and make efforts to overcome difficulties, still remain an incompletely studied phenomenon . An even less studied process in the structure of a developing personality remains the formation of sports motivation through gaming activities. This significantly complicates the task of not only involving children of preschool and school age in sports, but also maintaining their sports activity at a sufficiently high level, preventing it from decreasing in situations related to failures in competitions, disappointment in the results obtained, monotony and intensity of training . The revival of the GTO complex in educational organizations, today, in my opinion, is relevant and fundamental.
The goal of the introduced project is to form an active healthy lifestyle for pupils through an organized physical culture and health model of a preschool educational institution in the context of the implementation of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex “GTO”. This is exactly how the foundation for the country’s future achievements was laid earlier and will now be laid. Being a unique physical education program, the GTO complex should become fundamental in a unified system of patriotic education of the younger generation. As if to confirm the social significance and relevance of this project, I would like to note that all people are different. However, everyone who voluntarily decides to undergo the GTO test has one thing in common - determination. It is this trait that is most important for people of the 21st century.
It is in preschool age that the foundation is laid for the physical development, health and character of a person in the future. This period of childhood is characterized by gradual improvement of all functions of the child’s body. A child of this age is extremely flexible. All this gave me the idea of creating a project to implement the GTO complex.
In this regard, a solution to the problem : insufficient awareness of parents about the importance of physical education. Low sports activity, sedentary lifestyle of children and their families, lack of understanding of the culture of sports. Negative statistics on family lifestyle (reduced activity, unbalanced diet, non-compliance with the daily routine, growing risk factors, lack of healthy habits). In order to increase the level of physical fitness, reduce the number of frequently ill children, increase the number of children and parents regularly involved in physical education and sports, it is necessary to significantly increase the effectiveness of the physical education system for preschool children,
by attracting the largest number of students and their parents to participate in passing the VFSK “GTO” standards, as well as positively motivate them to increase physical activity through the desire to improve their results when passing the GTO standards.
3.2.Purpose and objectives of the project:
To solve this problem, the project “GTO for kindergarten. Back to the Future!" and the goal was set: the formation of an active healthy lifestyle of pupils through an organized physical culture and health model of a preschool educational institution in the context of the implementation of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex “GTO”.
Tasks:
1. Include all participants in the educational process in the preparation and passing of the GTO standards in accordance with age levels.
2. Develop a desire to strengthen and maintain one’s health through the formation of a culture of a healthy lifestyle.
3. Develop skills to manage your emotional sphere.
Project hypothesis: as a result of creating optimal conditions that ensure the full functioning of children in a preschool institution in this area, students will develop an attitude towards a healthy lifestyle.
3.3. Project implementation principles
The principles of education of preschool children in the field of physical development and the principles of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex “Ready for Labor and Defense” are inextricably linked.
The principle of health-improving orientation is to ensure a rational general and motor regime for games and activities of children in a preschool institution.
The principle of child socialization is that a preschooler is constantly involved in group motor activity, which contributes to the enrichment of the emotional-volitional sphere and the formation of interpersonal relationships and organizational skills.
The principle of comprehensive personal development is to ensure the coordinated, proportionate development of all physical qualities, the comprehensive formation of motor skills and the acquisition of special knowledge by children.
The principle of psychological comfort is the removal of all stress-forming factors and the creation of a friendly atmosphere.
The principle of unity with the family is compliance with the uniform requirements of the preschool institution and the family in matters of education, health, daily routine, physical activity, hygiene procedures, the formation of cultural and hygienic skills, and the development of children’s movements.
The principle of accessibility is compliance with the level of social, mental and physical development of the child, his capabilities and abilities.
The principle of cooperation and interaction is with the testing center of the MBUFK "SOK" "Olympus" of the MDOU "Kindergarten "Smile" in Nadym."
3.5. The novelty of the project lies in the following: the creation in a preschool institution of a system for preparing for testing (tests) of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex GTO.

GTO in kindergarten. Revival of traditions
The problem of physical development of the younger generation is one of the most pressing in modern society. In recent years, there has been a positive trend in the development of physical culture and sports in the Russian Federation; the number of young people who have become the norm to lead an active, healthy lifestyle is growing. One of the factors for positive changes is the revival of the GTO complex in educational organizations. This is a good tradition of the Soviet era: “Passing the GTO standards.” The purpose of which is to make the work on physical education of children systematic and effective.
In the new Russia, the GTO complex has been revived, and now they plan to pass the standards in kindergartens. Kindergartens should become the foundation on which children will be introduced to a healthy lifestyle and sports, and children should receive their first GTO badges in preschool educational institutions.
In 2014, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin signed a decree on the return of the system of standards of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex “Ready for Labor and Defense”.
In 1937, in the famous children's poem “The Story of an Unknown Hero” by Samuil Yakovlevich Marshak, firefighters, police officers and photographers are looking for a twenty-year-old boy who saved a girl from a fire. Signs of the guy described by Marshak in the work: “of medium height, broad-shouldered and strong, he wears a white T-shirt and cap. The "GTO" sign is on his chest. They don’t know anything about him anymore.” The irony of the poem was that at that time there were more than half the country’s GTO icons, and everyone was ready for work and defense. The new system of the GTO complex provides for the participation of 11 age groups. That is, almost anyone can pass the standards of the new GTO complex, starting from the age of 6.
In the 2019–2020 academic year, we were offered to try to pass the standards of the GTO complex. Many may ask: “Is this necessary? Do preschool children need to pass the standards of the GTO complex? I am of the opinion that it is necessary. Firstly, it raises the self-esteem of children, not to mention their parents, who are simply proud of their children. Secondly, this indicates good continuity of preschool education. And thirdly, of course, training and passing the standards of the GTO complex itself lead to the strengthening of both the character and the child’s body.
As part of the “GTO in kindergarten” project, which I conducted in a school preparatory group, we carried out the following activities:
1) together with their parents, they created an exhibition of drawings about their favorite sport, as well as an album about their favorite athlete. A poster was drawn on this topic;
2) with the support of parents, taekwondo athletes and coaches were invited to the group. They talked about this sport and demonstrated some techniques. The braver children from the group tried to repeat them;
3) visited the Nadezhda sports and recreation center on an excursion. A skilled guide showed all the rooms where various sports are practiced. Many children already attend training in this physical education complex, but after the excursion their number has increased;
4) a joint sports and entertainment festival “Dad, Mom, Me - a Sports Family” was held, in which children and parents of this group took part.
During physical education classes and in their free time, children passed various tests appropriate for a given age, which revealed various abilities: speed, strength, general coordination, flexibility, general endurance. When taking tests, I divided the children into subgroups to achieve higher scores. I would like to dwell on them in detail.
Speed abilities, of course, include running. Children covered distances of 30 and 100 meters. When running 30 meters, both subgroups showed themselves, but when running 100 meters, the following result was revealed: 20 people from the group passed the standard, but 7 people had difficulty.
When passing tests for strength abilities (pull-ups and push-ups), the following results were revealed in the group: almost half of the group could not show a good result, but the second half easily passed these tests.
Long jumps and throwing were proposed to identify general coordination abilities. In these tests, only 14 people from the group showed good results, but the rest needed help and support.
In standing forward bends, a test of flexibility, almost the entire group performed well. Which greatly pleased both me and the parents who also tracked the results of their children.
We included lifting the body from a supine position (press) as general endurance. In this test, most of the children from the group successfully passed the test. 8 people experienced difficulty.
The children really enjoyed taking these tests. Passing the tests showed me and the children what we should pay more attention to in physical education classes in order to successfully pass the standards of the GTO complex. My students have developed an interest in higher achievements. Preschoolers are imitators, and if one child passes the standards of the GTO complex, then the rest of the children begin to strive for this.
Children not only physically, but also psychologically must be prepared for the very procedure of passing the standards of the GTO complex, so everyone was encouraged with award badges.
In the end, I would like to note that passing the standards of the GTO complex must begin in preschool age! Preparation and participation in passing the standards of the GTO complex allows not only to create conditions for strengthening the health of children, nurturing strong-willed qualities, developing the desire for victory and self-confidence, but also to cultivate a patriotic spirit and readiness to defend their homeland. The skills acquired in preschool childhood can be applied in difficult situations that are possible in future life.
