Mother's Day presentation for the lesson (grade 10) on the topic

About Mother The future of the nation is in the hands of mothers. O. Balzac History of the holiday The tradition of celebrating Mother's Day dates back to the women's mysteries of ancient Rome, intended to honor the Great Mother - the goddess, the mother of all gods. From the 17th to the 19th centuries, the so-called “Mothering Sunday” was celebrated in Great Britain - the fourth Sunday of Lent, dedicated to honoring mothers throughout the country. In 1908, a young American woman, Anna Jervis, from Philadelphia, launched an initiative to honor mothers in memory of her mother, who died prematurely. Anna wrote letters to government agencies, legislative bodies, and prominent individuals with a proposal to devote one day a year to honoring mothers. Her efforts were crowned with success - in 1910, the state of Virginia was the first to recognize Mother's Day as an official holiday. In 1914, US President Woodrow Wilson declared the second Sunday in May a national holiday in honor of all American mothers. Following the United States, 23 countries declared the second Sunday of May a holiday. In Greece, Mother's Day is celebrated on May 9th. The history of the holiday dates back to the times of ancient Greece, when the Greeks celebrated the day of the mother of all gods, Gaia, in the spring. In Ukraine, Mother's Day began to be celebrated back in 1929, but over time it was forgotten. Today this holiday is celebrated on the second Sunday of May, modestly, without celebrations. And in Armenia, April 7 is celebrated as Motherhood and Beauty Day, believing that they are inseparable. In Finland, Mother's Day is celebrated on the second Sunday of May. On this day, flags are hung, children prepare gifts for mothers, and fathers try their best in the kitchen on this day, each to the best of their abilities and capabilities. Grandmothers are also congratulated. A new holiday - Mother's Day - is gradually taking root in Russia. Established by the President of the Russian Federation on January 30, 1998, it is celebrated on the last Sunday of November. Among the many holidays celebrated in our country, Mother's Day occupies a special place. This is a holiday to which no one can remain indifferent. On this day I would like to say words of gratitude to all Mothers who give their children love, kindness, tenderness and affection. What does the word “mother” mean to each of us? Mom is the closest person. She can help in difficult times. Mom is the most understanding person, mother always wants the best for her children, while really appreciating their work, efforts, and capabilities. My Mom is the best! I love her very much and am ready to do anything for her! I want her to always be with me. An understanding person who will support me at any moment of my life. Beloved, understanding, dear. Caring, smart, sweet, energetic. Mom is the most beloved, dear, close person. She will always help. I love my mother very much. Yes, yes, even if this is a hackneyed phrase, but it is true. I want her to know that for me she is the most dear person in the world, that I respect her and will always be grateful to her for everything that she has done and is doing for me. Mom is the most beautiful, important and dear person in the life of each of us . Mom gave us life and gave us a chance for life to be successful... Gentle, understanding, kind, fair, cheerful, beautiful, sunny, caring, strict. Mom is of great importance in my life. For me, my mother is the image of everything pure on Earth. My mother is a cheerful woman. We are like friends, she understands me and will always help. She is the best. For me, my mother is the most dear, caring and beloved person. The person who gave me life and is my support for the rest of my life. Mom is the greatest value in our life. Mom is the first word in our lives. Mom gave us this life. Mom is the brightest and purest thing on Earth. Mom is the dearest and closest person. She will always support and help. Mom will always find the right words to support. Thoughtful. Affectionate. Understanding. Kind and beloved. Mom is very understanding, kind, affectionate, will help in difficult times and is the best and closest friend. Even if she scolds me, I still love her. Give us better mothers and we will be better people. J.-P. Richter Mother-heroines Children are the flowers of life. The only child in the family will be loved, cared for and cherished, but two, three or even more children will be surrounded with no less love. Mothers who decide to undertake such a unique feat can safely be called heroines. Unfortunately, although our state pays attention to the problem of “heroine mothers,” it still does not always adequately provide for large families. Therefore, raising several children is a complex process, requiring enormous sacrifices on the part of the mother. All over the world there are many awards, orders, and medals dedicated to mothers of many children: The Order of “Heroine Mothers” is a state award of Kyrgyzstan. The order is made of silver plated with gold and is a seven-pointed star. The medal of “motherhood” of the first and second degree was established by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of July 8, 1944. Medals are made of silver and bronze. “Altyn alka” (Golden pendant) is an award of the Republic of Kazakhstan for mothers of many children. The most excellent of women will be considered the one who is able to replace a father for her children.I. Goethe Single Mothers Nowadays, more and more people are getting divorced, having become convinced of the fragility of their relationship. But the saddest thing is when children suffer because of an adult’s mistake. It is very difficult to survive the departure of a father, or less often, a mother. Often such mental trauma has an impact on later life. The life of a single mother is hard. This is a very relevant topic in modern society. Women raise a child alone, or even several, earning their own living. Of course, according to the law, fathers who leave the family are required to pay alimony. But, unfortunately, sometimes this happens - alimony amounts to mere pennies, contrary to the laws. But the material side is only one of many. How to explain to your child why dad won't come again? And how to raise a child without male influence? A single mother takes a heavy burden on her shoulders and passes the test with honor. After all, for a mother, first of all, the well-being of her own child is important. For some reason, many women think that having a child and becoming a mother are the same thing. One could just as well say that having a piano and being a pianist are one and the same thing. S. Harris Orphans But, unfortunately, along with women who are ready to raise their children, overcoming all difficulties and hardships, there are also those who, for various reasons, abandon the child, leaving him completely alone in this cruel world. But still, the future of most of these kids is not at all hopeless. They end up in orphanages, where new parents can pick them up. These are mainly married couples who cannot have children themselves, but really want to have them. And, after registering the adoption of a child, they can take him into the family and raise him like their own child. A mother's heart is an inexhaustible source of miracles. P. Beranger The image of a mother and motherhood in art How many kind words can you say about a mother? Infinite multitude. Love for our mother manifests itself in our actions, in our thoughts; our whole life is filled with love for the dearest person in the world. The theme of mother in art occupies a special place, because motherhood has always been sacred and the highest value. Many works of art are dedicated to the mother, as the most significant person in the life of almost every person. Painting by Adolphe William Bouguereau. Rest. F. Riesener. Mother and her daughter Bruni. Madonna Alba. Sculptural composition “Mother and Child” “Motherland” in Kiev Sculpture “Motherland Calls” on Mamayev Kurgan Sculpture Of course, many films have been made about mothers, but the most famous and, probably, the best has always been and remains the film directed by Yuri Egorov “Once Upon a Time Twenty Years Later,” in which we are shown a story about the life of a large family in the USSR. Cinema Literature Mother themes are also touched upon in the literary works of such authors as I.S. Turgenev (“Fathers and Sons”), I.A. Goncharov (“Oblomov”), A.N. Nekrasov (“Frost, Red Nose,” “Russian Women”), L.N. Tolstoy (“Anna Karenina,” “War and Peace”), V. Veresaev (“Mother "), A. Serafimovich ("Mother", "Daughter"), L. Andreev ("From a story that will never be finished") Also, many lyrical works are also dedicated to the mother. And one of the most striking and memorable is the poem by D.B. Kedrin “Mother’s Heart” The girl is tortured by a Cossack at the fence: “When will you, Oksana, love me?! With my sword I will get for my theft both ringing sequins and white rubles!” The girl responded, braiding her braid: “The fortune teller told me about this in the forest. She said, I will love the one who brings my mother’s heart as a gift! No need for sequins, no need for rubles, Give me the heart of your old mother! I will infuse its ashes with hops, I’ll get drunk with this infusion and I’ll love you.” From that day on, the Cossack became silent and frowned. He didn’t slurp borscht, didn’t eat straw. He cut his mother’s breast with a blade and set off on the journey with the treasured burden. On the way, his vision grew dim, As he climbed onto the porch, the Cossack tripped, And his mother’s heart, falling on the threshold, Asked him: “Are you hurt, son?” Mother is the only deity on earth who does not know atheists. E. Leguwe One of the most famous religions on Earth is undoubtedly Orthodoxy. Everyone knows about Jesus Christ. But first of all, we must remember that he was born as an ordinary person, and that he had a mother, whom we all know as the Mother of God or the Virgin Mary. In Rus', the image of the Mother of God is revered no less than Jesus himself. It is even believed that it was Rus' that the Mother of God chose for herself to preach Orthodoxy. Our Lady Hundreds, thousands, hundreds of thousands of people die in war. But they are all sons and daughters, they all have a mother - a woman who gave them life... And the war took away this life. If the mother is the personification of everything pure, good, bright - the beginning, then war is the dark, merciless, the end of all life. Mother is a symbol of peace and life. War is a symbol of death. It is impossible to imagine the grief of a mother who has lost her son. It is impossible to imagine the joy of a mother whose son returned from the war alive. Mother and War Mother's Night Many have heard about such a holiday as Mother's Day. But few people have even a vague idea about its pagan relative. What is Mother's Night? This is an ancient pagan holiday celebrated on the night of December 20-21. As you know, the night on the 22nd is the longest of the year, and after it the day begins to lengthen, but the dark time of the day becomes shorter and shorter. According to pagan mythology, the god of Light was born on this night. The previous night was also of great importance - at this time the gates of another world open, through which God must come. It is the mother who opens these doors - thereby she contributes to the emergence of new life. Don’t offend your mothers, Be offended by your mother. Before parting at the door, say goodbye to them more tenderly. And you don’t rush to go around the corner, don’t rush And wave to her standing at the gate as long as possible.. They suffer from separation, And we are on an endless road Without mother’s kind hands - How babies without a lullaby. Write letters to them quickly And don’t be shy about lofty words, Don’t offend mothers, Don’t be offended by mothers. Mothers sigh in the silence, In the silence of the nights, in the anxious silence. For them, we are forever babies, And it’s impossible to argue with this. So be a little kinder, Don’t be annoyed by their care, Don’t offend mothers, Don’t be offended by mothers. V. B.
