- Hello, dear parents! You will find out the theme of our meeting when you guess the riddle: There is a chest on the table. There is a window in the chest, You can see miracles, If you know a little. (computer) Recently, we increasingly hear from children the words: computer, computer games, or you can find information on the Internet. Computers have long and firmly penetrated all spheres of human activity. They are used at work, at home, at school, and even in kindergarten. On the one hand, they make our life much easier, but on the other, we are forced to pay with our health. So what do computers bring to our children - more benefit or harm? And how to properly organize a child’s communication with a computer so that he does not become dependent on it? Today at the parent meeting we will try to answer these problematic questions and try to jointly develop rules for organizing children’s work on the computer. First, let's get acquainted with the results of a survey of parents in our class on the issue of computer use in their family. Analysis of questionnaires
2. Parents’ work in groups, exchange of opinions

(the “corners” technique from TRKM is used). Group 1 - prove that the computer has a positive effect on the child; Group 2 - name the negative aspects of the influence of the computer on the child.

Sample group answers: Positive influence of the computer

Development of fine muscles of the hand, motor skills Cognitive motivation Development of perseverance Improvement of memory, attention Orientation in modern technologies Quickly finding the necessary information, therefore increasing free time Possibility of communication

Negative influence of the computer

Heavy strain on the eyes Constricted posture Development of osteochondrosis Computer radiation Diseases of the joints of the hands Mental stress Computer addiction Nervous-emotional stress Computer stress syndrome Child forgets about the real world Replacement of communication

3. Summarizing the results of work in groups, free discussion

.
After the parents exchange opinions, representatives from each group read out the answers. — To summarize, let’s try to create a “syncwine”, a teaching method based on the technology of developing critical thinking. (Explain how syncwine is composed.)
Approximate options for syncwine: Group 1, the computer is modern, smart, helps, teaches, develops. He is a faithful friend and assistant. teacher

Group 2 computer is destructive, destructive, harms, delays, cripples The computer is harmful to health. destroyer

4. Introduction to recommendations for preventing computer addiction

.
Many parents see nothing wrong with children spending a lot of time at the computer. Considering this type of leisure to be intellectual and useful, they only worry about problems with their posture or vision. However, excessive passion for, for example, computer games affects not only the child’s physical health, but also his psyche. The child develops a computer addiction. This can be avoided if you follow certain rules. To help you, we offer recommendations from modern psychologists dealing with this problem. (Distribute recommendations, appendix 2.3) Discussion of recommendations
. Concluding the meeting, I would like to note once again that, undoubtedly, a computer is an effective means of child development. But parents need to know what is inside their computer (i.e., what programs the child uses, what pages on the Internet he visits, what computer games he plays), and how the child relates to the organization of the workplace, time management, and the use of simple exercises to relieve fatigue and tension.

5. Summing up and discussing the draft meeting decision

. Draft decision of the meeting: - for further discussion on this topic, conduct testing of parents to determine the dependence of children on computer games (Appendix 4), - follow recommendations for preventing computer addiction in a child (Appendix 2), - perform exercises to relieve eye strain (Appendix 3 )

Annex 1

Appendix 2

Recommendations for parents on preventing computer addiction in a child To prevent computer addiction, psychologists advise the following: 1. Set a personal positive example. It is important that words do not diverge from deeds. And if a father allows his son to play no more than an hour a day, then he himself should not play for three or four. 2. Limit the time spent working with the computer, explaining that the computer is not a right, but a privilege, therefore communication with it is subject to parental control. It is impossible to sharply prohibit working on a computer. If a child is already prone to computer addiction, he can spend two hours on the computer on a weekday and three on a weekend, but always with breaks. 3. Offer other ways to spend time. You can make a list of things you can do in your free time. It is advisable that the list include joint activities (going to the cinema, going to nature, playing chess, etc.) 4. Use the computer as an element of effective education, as a reward (for example, for homework done correctly and on time, cleaning the apartment ). 5. Pay attention to the games children play, because some of them can cause insomnia, irritability, aggressiveness, and specific fears. 6. Discuss games with your child. Give preference to educational games. It is extremely important to teach a child to think critically about computer games, to show that this is a very small part of the available entertainment, that life is much more varied, and that games cannot replace communication. If parents cannot cope with the problem on their own, it is necessary to contact psychologists.

Appendix 4

Test “Determination of addiction to computer games” by A.V. Kotlyarova Statement “yes” “no” - The child experiences difficulties, gets irritated, sad when it is necessary to finish a computer game - For the sake of a computer game, the child sacrifices time with family and friends - is mostly in a good mood when playing computer games - Because of a computer game, the child neglects - Playing on the computer is the main means of relieving stress in a child - After playing a computer game, the child develops headaches - In ordinary life, the child experiences emptiness, irritability, and depression, which disappear when playing on the computer - With the help of playing on the computer, the child achieves life goals , solves problems - After a computer game, a child has problems with appetite and bowel movements - Because of a computer game, a child has problems with school (an adult with work), but he continues to play it - Because of a computer game, a child neglects nutrition - Child feels the need to spend more and more time playing - Because of a computer game, the child neglects personal hygiene - During a computer game, the child is completely detached from reality, completely transported into the world of the game - After a computer game, the child develops dry mucous membranes of the eyes - Due to After playing a computer game, a child develops problems in the family, in relationships with people, but he continues to play - Playing on the computer serves as the leading means for achieving a comfortable state for the child. Research analysis For each “yes” answer, one point is awarded. If the sum of the answers exceeds three points, then there is a high probability that your child’s passion for computer games may develop into an addiction.

Progress of the meeting

Computer-meat grinder for information.

A computer is a resonator of the intelligence with which a person approaches it.

V.G. Krotov

Hello, dear parents!

Topic of the parent meeting: “Computer in the life of a schoolchild”

I would like to introduce you to computer capabilities.

Show the possibilities of using a computer in educational activities and at home.

And for discussion I offer you the following questions:

  1. The importance of a computer in the development of a child’s intelligence.
  2. Using a computer at home in preparation for lessons.
  3. The dangers of being addicted to the computer.

Today we will devote our conversation to the computer. And it’s not at all accidental. Just 20 years ago, a computer was a curiosity, but now it has become accessible to the average family. Without a computer, no serious production is possible. Every self-respecting industry introduces computer technology into the production process. Today, a personal computer is not only a work tool. It is an integral part of everyday life. Whether it is about obtaining information, education, entertainment or communications.

The computer came into the life of the modern educational process and began its victorious march through school lessons.

(Presentation of school programs)

Here is a presentation of some programs that teachers use in the classroom. In an educational environment, a computer can perform the following functions: source of information, training, control, tutor. At all these stages, computer use can promote initiative, creativity and independence.

Using a personal computer, a student can...

Prepare homework Browse encyclopedias on CD-ROM, interactively exploring the world around you
Present your ideas Use convenient applications to create

captivating visual presentations

Prepare for exams Make the computer a “tutor” that does the teaching

more interesting, faster and more efficient

Conduct research work Use the vast resources of extremely up-to-date information resources on the Internet at any hour of the day or night
Chat with friends Stay connected with friends, exchange messages and school assignments via email

Conclusion:

  1. Using a computer saves time
  2. Access to the most up-to-date information for students
  3. Possibility of feedback with each student
  4. Visibility of the presented material
  5. Opportunity to develop spatial thinking
  6. Timeliness of information.
  7. Did you know?

In mid-2004, the number of English-speaking Internet users amounted to 224 million people. (40%) of the total - 560 million people.

84% of Japanese adults are connected to the Internet. This is the highest figure in the world.

It is estimated that by 2005, 9% of all world trade will take place over the Internet.

The highest rate of business activity belongs to the United States - 13% of all trade transactions are concluded over the Internet.

QUESTIONS:

How do you feel about children's passion for computers?

Do you consider it necessary to use a computer in school lessons in various subjects?

With the transition from elementary to middle school and then to high school, the position of children in the system of business and personal relationships with people around them changes. More and more time in their lives begins to be taken up by serious matters, and less and less time is allocated to rest and entertainment. The demands on a young man’s intellect are increasing, which are simultaneously imposed by both his peers and adults. Teachers and parents are beginning to switch to a new style of communication with teenagers, appealing more to their reason and logic than to their feelings and counting, in turn, on a similar response.

During adolescence, important processes associated with memory restructuring occur. Logical memory begins to actively develop and soon reaches such a level that the child begins to predominantly use this type of memory, as well as voluntary and indirect memory.

During adolescence and adolescence, the process of cognitive development is actively underway.

A characteristic feature of adolescence is the readiness and ability for many different types of learning, both in practical terms (labor skills) and in theoretical terms (the ability to think, reason, and use concepts). Another feature at this age is the tendency to experiment.

Every medal has two sides. We talked about the benefits a computer brings to a child’s development, but parents should know that excessive computer use affects the mental and physical health of children.

You may ask, why do you need a computer at home?

To play shooting games, adventure games, simulators, arcades and strategies!

Does your child attend a computer club or playroom?

Does this make you anxious?

You must remember that working for a very long time at the computer (it is no secret that guys sit for hours at the computer playing various games) is associated with the influence of such psychophysical factors as mental overstrain, overstrain of visual and auditory analyzers, monotony of work, and emotional overload. The impact of these unfavorable factors leads to a decrease in performance caused by developing fatigue. The appearance and development of fatigue is associated with changes that occur during work in the central nervous system, with inhibitory processes in the cerebral cortex. For example, strong noise causes difficulties in recognizing color signals, reduces the speed of color perception, visual acuity, visual adaptation, disrupts the perception of visual information, and reduces labor productivity by 5–12%. At home, the computer should not be adjacent to the wall behind the bed.

Exercises and massage for hands

  1. Do not get up from the chair, put your hands on the table. Bend your fingers as if holding a tennis ball and rest them on the table: Now lift your index finger (the rest of your fingers are on the table!) and straighten it sharply. Bend your finger again and place it on the table. Do this exercise with all your fingers twice.
  2. Z. Now the palms are pressed against each other, and the fingers run in different directions. Place your hands palm to palm in front of your chest. Move the fingers of your left hand to the left as far as possible. Do the same with the fingers of your right hand. This exercise must be performed ten times.
  3. Interlace your fingers so that your palms face your chest. The fingers remain in place, but the hands swing in different directions: the left one towards you - the right one away from you, the right one towards you - the left one away from you. And so ten times.
  4. We rotate our fists, holding our hands in front of us: first clockwise, then in the opposite direction. Try rotating your fists in different directions at the same time: with your right hand clockwise, with your left hand counterclockwise.
  5. Rub hand to hand, and then stroke your right hand with your left hand and vice versa. Finally, make a movement similar to washing your hands.

Reminder for parents on using a computer by a child

  1. So that parents can control the use

computer child, they themselves must be able to use it at least at a basic level

use;

  1. The child should not play computer games before bedtime;
  2. Every 20-30 minutes of working on the computer you need to take a break;
  3. The child should not work on the computer for more than 1.5-2 hours;
  4. Parents should supervise their child’s purchase of computer discs with games so that they do not cause harm to the child’s health and psyche;
  5. If a child does not have a computer at home and attends a computer club, parents should know which club he goes to and who he communicates with there;
  6. If a child uses the computer irresponsibly, a password must be entered to prevent access without parental permission.

Finally, answer the questions in writing.

  1. Would you like to continue discussing this topic at parent-teacher meetings?
  2. Has your attitude towards the computer changed?
