Scenario for the reading family competition

Host: The words “home”, “family”, “children” are near and dear to each of us. Familiar and reliable words radiate light, warmth, and give a feeling of reliability. Father and mother! Are there any kinder words in the world? Probably not! Host: Our parents gave us life and guide us through it. And apparently it was fate that they would accompany and care for their child all their lives. Children are extensions of their parents. Host: People say: “Without family there is no happiness on earth.” Indeed, it is in the family that a child takes his first steps, from here he goes into his independent life, learns to appreciate and respect people. Host: However, human memory is not such a reliable way of storing knowledge. Remember from your own experience - quite often we quickly forget the advice and requests of our parents. Presenter : Books have remained an unchanged source of knowledge for centuries. Family and book are one. They complement each other, support and guide. Host: Most book plots end with the creation of a family; let’s remember children’s fairy tales: “Cinderella” or the fairy tale about the frog princess. Presenter: Today’s competition “The Most Reading Family” will allow us to determine the smartest and most well-read families. We have four contenders for this high title (representing families). I really want to hear for three minutes an advertisement for a book that should interest everyone. To demonstrate the first homework assignment, “Presentation of a Favorite Family Book,” I invite the first participant. Host : In the next competition “It’s me!” Dads and their children will take part. Dear participants, take a mask for yourself. Put them on and listen carefully to the story and description of the hero. When you hear the words that describe your character, stand up and say, “That’s me.” The ball is counted if dad and child correctly recognize their hero. Questions:

Carrying out family-oriented events brings people together, reveals family values to them and elevates the meaning of parenthood.

Family representation at the competition

There are several ways to introduce the audience and the honorary jury to your family.

  • Family tree

Most often, contestants present their family tree from the stage. Of course, to collect information, you need to conduct a whole study.

Studying your family history can be:

  • historical, when exact dates and real facts are recorded,
  • biographical (collection of information about ancestors, where they lived, what they did and were interested in),
  • informational, when conversations are held, interviews are taken with older generations, and the collected material is analyzed).

To compile a family tree, you must go through the following steps:

  • Conduct conversations with relatives, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbors and other relatives. Write down all the last names, first names and patronymics of your ancestors.
  • Record the memories of the older generation in a notebook or voice recorder, collect all photographs, signatures, diaries, documents, letters and audio recordings.
  • Place all materials in a folder (home archive).
  • Write down your memories of your parents and childhood.
  • Complete the entries in the required sequence using diagrams, tables, and illustrations.
  • Transfer the collected information into electronic form and scan the photo.

After all the research has been completed, you can begin to draw up your family tree. It is usually represented in the form of a real tree, grape or rose, which are valued for their durability, beauty of the crown, fruits and flowers. You can present the family history schematically in the form of tables or an old suvoi. A circular birth guide makes it possible to see the main ancestral roots; the paternal line is on the right, and the maternal line is on the left.

  • Family coat of arms

The creation of this symbol involves research into family traditions and values, as well as minimal knowledge of heraldic information. Initially, you should decide on the shape, color scheme, dominant symbol and location of additional parts. Be sure to provide space for the family motto and the spelling of the surname. The relic should not be overloaded with information. Our work follows the principle: “Less is better.”

Half the battle is to create the coat of arms itself, the most important thing is to present it adequately. Each depicted detail has its own description and meaning. It is necessary to think about how to explain what is depicted here and why, i.e. come up with a family legend.

An example of a coat of arms representation in which the palms hold a rainbow in the clouds.

For many, life is divided only into black and white stripes, but for our family it consists of seven colors of the rainbow. Each shade is a set of bright events, acquaintances and a sea of impressions. So, let's start, of course, with red. It is a connotation of fire, strength and movement. We, the family... are quite active, we love hiking, traveling, ice skating and roller skating. Orange is a vibrant and dramatic sunset hue. Not a single exhibition, competition or city event is complete without our participation. Sunny yellow color brings warmth and affection. That’s how our home is cozy and warm from our smiles, communication and family support. The color green fills our everyday lives with life. We are supporters of active recreation, we often walk in the park, grow flowers and plant trees. Blue is like the sky, bright and inspiring. We cannot live without creativity; we are constantly sculpting, baking, sewing, composing and constructing something. The depth of the blue sea color cannot be expressed in words. Our family is constantly studying, learning and reading something. The purple color is like a delicate flower, interesting and rich. Not a single day in our family goes by without fun and celebration. It is symbolic that all seven colors merged into one bright rainbow - our family. Together we overcome difficulties, develop and tirelessly move forward. Of course, in our lives there are clouds, and sometimes it rains, but after it a bright rainbow always rises. We know that everything is in our hands!

During the presentation, in addition to the coat of arms itself, which dad is holding in his hands, children raise drawings with each individual color.
