Introduction
- The nature of our world is amazing in its essence, but we strive to remake it, cutting down forests to build houses or ennobling the wild nature, introducing all kinds of elements of civilization into it. However, few people know about the beauty of the underwater world of the seas and oceans, where the most beautiful marine life is found.
There are 4 oceans on the globe, each of which carries its own impressions and has its own special “local” flora and fauna.
Nowadays, more and more people are starting to dive and explore this unique nature of ocean waters, which contains numerous secrets and mysteries. It is notable not only for the large number of different species of fish and corals, but also for its unusual caves, mystical territories, sunken cities and treasures.
Inhabitants of the underwater world and facts about them.
The multifaceted underwater world remains poorly understood today. It is known that a large number of rare and amazing creatures live underwater. This presentation is dedicated to them.
Dwarf seahorse.
The ability to camouflage inherent in this inhabitant of the deep sea can only be envied. Its size is only 2.5 cm. The seahorse lives in coral thickets.
Squid.
The average size of a squid is 50 cm. However, in nature there are individuals up to 20 meters in size, including tentacles. These giant squids are the largest invertebrates in the world.
Stingrays.
Stingrays are classified as fish. Particularly noteworthy is the detachment of electric stingrays, capable of paralyzing prey with a discharge of 60 to 230 volts and over 30 amperes. The photo of the stingrays was taken in French Polynesia (Tuamotu Islands in the Pacific Ocean).
Gastropod mollusk.
The mollusk's habitat is the coral reefs of the Caribbean and Atlantic basins. It feeds on poisonous sea gorgonians. Gastropods, absorbing toxic substances, themselves become poisonous.
Eel catfish.
This is the only species of catfish that lives on coral reefs. The first rays of the anterior dorsal and pectoral fins of these fish are jagged, poisonous spines.
Humboldt squid.
Another name for this carnivorous predator is giant squid. Individuals of this species reach a length of two meters and weigh more than 45 kg.
Crab and sea urchins.
Sea urchins have the shape of a sphere ranging in size from 2 to 30 cm. The length of their spines is 2-30 cm. Many sea urchins have poisonous spines.
Nudibranch.
The nudibranch lacks a shell. Representatives of this species are the most colorful and diverse in shape marine invertebrates.
The body fish family.
Representatives of this type of fish feed on sea urchins, starfish, crabs, and mollusks, deftly blowing them out of the ground with a stream of water released from the mouth.
Lipped perches.
These fish move in schools as a unit in hopes of protection from predators.
Trumpet fish
Lives in coral reefs. It reaches a length of up to 80 cm. The fish is unique in that it does not move most of the time, but spends it in a vertical position upside down. This camouflage of a stick is necessary for the fish to protect itself from predators.
Red starfish.
These animals have a wide range of sizes: from 2 cm to 1 m. The average length of representatives of starfish is 12-25 cm. Animals are predators.
Giant spider crab.
The giant spider crab is the largest arthropod. The size of individuals sometimes reaches 3 m.
Great white shark.
Another representative of the “most” is the great white shark - the largest predatory fish today. Its length reaches 6 meters, and its weight is 23 tons.
Luxurious mantis crab (harlequin).
The largest representative of mantis shrimp. The length of the mantis crayfish can reach 18 cm.
The most dangerous freshwater fish in Crimea is the Crimean barbel and madder, because its caviar is poisonous and its consumption can cause severe poisoning.
There is a candle fish in the Pacific Ocean, its body accumulates a lot of fat and if you insert a wick into it and set it on fire, it will burn for a long time and smoothly.
The hedgehog fish really becomes very similar to a real hedgehog when it inflates its body, which is very similar to a ball strewn with small sharp needles.
The venom of the box jellyfish kills a person in 30 seconds to 15 minutes.
Underwater laboratory "Aquarius".
At a depth of 20 meters underwater off the coast of Florida, the world's only operating underwater laboratory is located.
Australia is home to fish with the most amazing names: Marinka, Evdoshka, Surgeon, Old Wife, Grumpy
.
Now look at what beautiful algae and corals grow in the underwater world.
Conclusion.
In my presentation we learned about the amazing creatures of the underwater world and some facts about them. I really hope that you were interested in learning all this. Let's take care of our world so that it continues to remain as colorful and mysterious!

Underwater world - presentation
The underwater world is fraught with many mysteries, and humanity has studied the surface of many planets much better than the bottom of the ocean. Amazing, unique sea animals live underwater. All the largest, strongest and most poisonous animals also live in the abyss of the ocean, and not on land. Today we will meet some amazing inhabitants of the underwater world. Dwarf seahorse This is one of the most well-camouflaged inhabitants of the ocean. It takes a lot of effort to see this tiny creature measuring 2.5 cm among the dense thickets of carals
Squid Typically, squids measure up to 50 cm, but there are also giant squids that reach 20 meters (including tentacles). They are the largest invertebrates
Stingrays Stingrays are fish, and most of them live in seawater. A squad of electric stingrays is equipped with a special weapon, which can paralyze prey with electrical discharges from 60 to 230 volts and over 30 amperes. Photograph from the Tuamotu group of islands in the Pacific Ocean, belonging to French Polynesia.
Flamingo tongue Found on many coral reefs in the Caribbean and Atlantic basins. The mollusk feeds on poisonous sea gorgonians, but their poison does not harm the snail. The “flamingo tongue” absorbs toxic substances and becomes poisonous itself. These mollusks leave noticeable traces behind them
Catfishes The only species of catfish that lives on coral reefs. Their first rays of the anterior dorsal and pectoral fins are jagged poisonous spines
Sea eel
Underwater laboratory "Aquarius" The only operating laboratory in the world, located at a depth of 20 meters underwater off the coast of Florida.
Squid Giant squid or Humboldt squid. These carnivorous predators reach a length of 2 meters and weigh more than 45 kilograms.
Crab and sea urchins The body of sea urchins is usually almost spherical, measuring from 2 to 30 cm, and the length ranges from 2 mm to 30 ms. Some species of sea urchins have poisonous spines
The family of fish are boxfish. They feed on sea urchins, starfish, crabs, and mollusks, deftly blowing them out of the ground with a stream of water released from the mouth.
Lizzie Perch Schools of these fish move as a unit in the ocean to protect themselves from predators.
Bellfish Fish Bell This inhabitant of coral reefs is a truly unique fish, reaching 80 cm in length. She does not swim most of the time, but spends it in an upright position, hanging upside down. In a similar way, it disguises itself as a stick, protecting itself from predators.
Colony of ascidians and clinging fish Ascidians are a class of pouch-shaped animals with a length from 0.1 mm to 30 cm, common in all seas. Sticky fish usually stick to large fish, whales, sea turtles, and the bottoms of ships.
Red starfish The sizes of these brightly colored animals range from 2 cm to 1 meter, although most are 12–25 cm. Starfish are sedentary and have from 5 to 50 arms or arms. These animals are predators
Giant spider crab This is one of the largest representatives of arthropods: large individuals reach 3 m in the span of the first pair of legs!
Great white shark Reaching a length of over 6 meters and a mass of kg, the great white shark is the largest modern predatory fish
Luxurious mantis shrimp (harlequin) One of the largest mantis shrimps. It is about 14 cm in length, and the largest individuals measure up to 18 cm.
