Weather forecast: Russia faces a difficult October
October is already on the very threshold - we didn’t even notice how the first autumn month flew by. Despite the imminent arrival of the long-awaited Indian summer, it will not last long in Russia. After which the central regions of the country will be densely covered with clouds and rain will begin to pour in the Volga region. At the same time, in the north of the Russian Plain it is already almost winter: snow, frost and no sun, and no Indian summer. And it’s only September, but what will await us in October?
According to weather forecasters, a difficult October awaits Russia: it is clear that the weather will be different everywhere, but with sharp jumps from plus to minus and vice versa. Wind, rain, sudden changes in atmospheric pressure: people who are weather dependent should prepare for migraines, headaches and overall poor health.
In short: “Houston, we have problems...”, to use the language of modern memes from the Internet. Only Houston will not be able to solve them, however, no one can - there are no such technologies yet to establish an even, mild climate on Earth without weather disasters. Therefore, all that remains is to endure and wrap yourself in scarves and jackets, bask in the warm seals at home and wait for spring, hoping that it will come early.
Weather in October in Moscow and the Moscow region. Preliminary weather forecast
In Moscow and the Moscow region, on average, thermometers will not show above plus 5-6 in October. Meteorologists say that these values fit into the observations of recent years, but there will be slightly less precipitation, which is good news.
The beginning of the month in the capital region is expected to be quite warm, in some places the thermometer will even show plus 15, the rains will be short, so you can still have time to collect mushrooms for the winter. Now is the time for mushrooms.
At the end of the first ten days, according to weather forecasters, a cold snap is coming - the air will warm up to no more than plus 10. So lovers of gardens and vegetable gardens, for whom October will be really difficult, should speed up the preparation of plots for winter and planting winter crops.
For this, by the way, the weather has prepared a small surprise: at the end of the first week of October, Muscovites and residents of the Moscow region are promised warming up to plus 20 and partly cloudy.
The second decade will bring noticeable coolness to the region with night frosts, so in the morning there will be ice on the puddles, and you should pull a hat over your ears, as the background temperature will drop and even in the daytime it will only be plus 3-5. But the precipitation will almost stop.
Weather forecast for October in St. Petersburg and other regions of the Northwestern Federal District
St. Petersburg, as forecasters previously promised, will differ little from Moscow in weather. The only thing is that there will be more rain here - up to 80 mm, and the average temperature is the same - minus 5-7.
At the same time, the beginning of the second month of calendar autumn will be warm - up to plus 15-16, but by the end of the first ten days a cold front will come to St. Petersburg and drop the thermometer to plus 10-12. It will rain, which will intensify by the middle of the month; during the day the air will warm up to plus 8-10.
In the 20th of October and already until the beginning of November, the climatic situation in the city on the Neva will become very difficult: it will become quite noticeably cold - during the day to zero - plus 3, and at night - to minus 3.
A difficult October is also forecast for other regions of northwestern Russia. So, the Kaliningrad region will show no higher than plus 15 in the daytime at the beginning of the month. But there will be very little precipitation. But an unpleasant, cold wind is unlikely to have a positive effect on the mood of local residents.
At the end of the month there will be another unpleasant surprise: temperature swings are expected in the region. The weather can change dramatically from warm to freezing in just a day or two and then return to warm again.
October will be the most difficult of all the regions of the north-west in the Murmansk region, which in mid-autumn will be covered by almost polar night and almost winter. Temperatures here will already steadily become negative - thermometers will not show positive values at all. Snow will begin to fall periodically.
Weather forecast for October in the Urals
According to weather forecasters, in the Urals at the beginning of the second autumn month it will suddenly become warm - plus 17. But heavy rains will wash away the entire effect of such a pleasant gift from nature. In general, the weather here will be difficult all month and it is worth preparing for temperature swings.
So, in mid-October, the south of the Urals will show up to plus 15, but the rest of the region will not be higher than plus 5. Precipitation will be much more than usual - up to 80 mm. The third decade will be marked by a sharp cooling to minus 5, snow will fall and will not melt until spring.
Weather in October in Siberia
In Siberia, too, nothing good is expected in October, and weather-sensitive people should prepare for a sharp change in weather from warm to cold. The first days of the month will be sunny and very warm up to plus 18, but already on the 7th-8th it will become sharply colder: unpleasant rains will begin, a piercing wind is predicted.
By the 20th, the thermometer will drop to minus 7, and in some places to minus 12, and it will snow. In the southern regions there will be showers at this time, thermometers will show plus 5-7C. But by the end of October the air here will cool down almost to winter temperatures – minus 10-12 is expected.
Weather in October in southern Russia
A difficult October also awaits residents of the south of the country. Here the temperature changes will be so sharp that even Siberians, accustomed to a fluctuating climate, would not be happy. For example, during the day in the Rostov region, thermometers can show summer temperatures of plus 25-28, and at night real frosts will begin - down to minus 2.
The Krasnodar Territory, including its seaside resorts, will produce quite pleasant temperatures at the beginning of the month: on average, plus 22-25 is expected, but by the end of October the air will begin to slowly but surely cool, the wind will increase, and rain will begin.
In Crimea, according to weather forecasters, precipitation is expected to be less than in its neighbors from Kuban. At the very beginning of October, in most of the peninsula, the thermometers will freeze at around plus 19-20, by the middle of the month it will become summer-like warm, and in some places even hot – plus 25-27. Then there will be a sharp cold snap - up to plus 10. The difficult October in Crimea will end with a storm at sea and possible precipitation in the form of sleet.
