Presentation “Native language in my family”

I live in a very interesting and fast-paced time: space is being explored, computer technology is being introduced more and more widely, and boundless opportunities are opening up for people. All this allows us to be more developed, confident and develop intellectually. But no matter how developed we are, no matter what scientific heights we reach, we must not forget that man is strong in his spiritual content. And this, first of all, is respect for one’s roots, for one’s people, knowledge and respect for the traditions of one’s people, and respect for one’s language. Language is the soul of the people; it expresses cultural and moral values. It so happened that I absorbed the love for my native Russian language as a child from my mother. My mother conveyed to me respect for the golden Russian word through stories about the cultural traditions of the people, through songs about native spaces and close people, and read Russian folk tales to me. It turned out to be a small miracle: through language I discovered an interesting world of the history of my people. I speak my language perfectly and am proud of it. My people have a centuries-old interesting and beautiful culture. My mother once instilled in me an interest in the past of my nation, and now I want to expand the boundaries of my knowledge. I read a lot about the history of my people. I'm interested in everything: from costume to customs. The songs of the Russian people touch to the depths of the soul. Not a single family event is complete without them. I am interested in everything related to the language of my people, thanks to the vast space of the Internet, I learned about such talented writers and thinkers who made a huge contribution to the development of Russian culture, such as A. Pushkin, M. Lomonosov, L. Tolstoy. We must not forget our roots, this will have a detrimental effect on the further development of the nation. If we do not respect our ancestors, our language, our traditions and do not pass them on to next generations, then the cultural heritage and language that have been formed over the years will simply perish. I enjoy reading poetry in Russian, listening to songs, and reading literature. I have a large number of like-minded people among my peers, and that’s good. Love for language lives in our hearts, we give it a piece of our warmth, which means it will live forever.

Every year on June 6, the birthday of the great poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin (1799 - 1837), residents of Russia celebrate Pushkin Day.

The birthday of the founder of the modern Russian literary language received the status of a state holiday in 1998 according to the decree of the President of the Russian Federation “On the 200th anniversary of the birth of A. S. Pushkin and the establishment of Pushkin Day in Russia.” After 13 years, the head of state signed a decree on the annual celebration of Russian Language Day in Russia on June 6.

On this day, various events are held in Russian cities dedicated to the life and work of Alexander Pushkin, his contribution to world literature. Poems by him are performed by children and adults; exhibitions, readings, festivals, conferences and round tables are organized.

As part of the program for the support and development of multilingualism and cultural diversity, Russian Language Day is also celebrated at the UN. On this day, the building of the UN General Assembly hosts concerts of Russian folk music, quizzes on knowledge of the Russian language and literature, and film screenings.
