We make the applique “Cockerel” from various materials

Creating applications is a favorite pastime for children of all ages. The materials used are paper, cereals, seeds, fabric, napkins, and buttons.

With the help of training lessons you will learn how to make a cockerel from various available materials.

How to make a Cockerel out of paper

Cockerel made from children's hands

Even the youngest children in kindergarten can easily perform palm appliqué.

To make the task easier for children of younger groups, teachers cut out paws, a head, a beak, and a comb from paper sheets in advance. The children put their palms on colored paper, trace them, cut them out and glue them to the base.

The more palms in the application, the more beautiful and brighter the craft. Therefore, such handicrafts are often performed collectively.

Cockerel made of geometric shapes

from A4 sheets and make a cockerel out of them.

Such work will bring a lot of pleasure to young pioneers. Children will learn to use scissors and become familiar with simple geometric shapes, circles and triangles.

Cockerel Pattern

Volumetric cone Cockerel

Older children will make voluminous cockerels from thick A4 sheets. Three-dimensional figures are even used for playing in puppet theaters.

For the applique with a voluminous rooster you will need:

  • glue;
  • felt-tip pen;
  • scissors;
  • multi-colored paper leaves.

Description of work:

  1. Cut a circle out of the sheet and cut it in half.

  2. Roll cones from the cut circles and secure them with glue.

  3. Cut the remaining sheets into thin strips.

  4. Fold each strip into a loop and secure with glue.

  5. From the resulting blanks, twist the same elements as in the photo:

    These parts will replace the voluminous bird's comb, beard with beak and wings.

  6. At the end of the MK, glue the blanks to the cone and draw eyes.

    The circle applique is ready. A voluminous cockerel will be a wonderful decoration for a gift box or New Year's souvenir.

Rooster - applique made of velvet paper and palms

In late autumn, the time has already come when it is worth thinking about the New Year holiday, about where and with whom to be on New Year's Eve and, of course, about gifts for loved ones. According to the Chinese calendar, the fiery rooster is designated as the symbol of the future 2020 . Victoria Shchepeleva prepared two options for paper appliqués that you can make with your children for the New Year.

Let's try to make a symbol of the year from corrugated paper. Perhaps this craft will help you decide on gifts or room decoration for the holiday.

We will need:

• corrugated paper 3 colors: - red - yellow - blue • scissors • pencil or pen • glue stick • colored pencils or markers • sheet of white paper

Manufacturing steps:

1. Draw a cockerel on a piece of paper, or take a ready-made picture and transfer it to paper.

2. From a piece of red corrugated paper you need to make a fluffy fringe. To do this, use small scissors to make long cuts at short distances on both sides of a piece of paper. Let’s make several of these fluffy “feathers” and glue them in place of the cockerel’s tail.

3. Take a piece of orange paper, use scissors to make a short fringe on one side and glue it onto the bird’s chest. Lightly fluff the ends of the paper.

4. Prepare the blue paper in the same way, making a short fringe on one side, and glue the place of the cockerel’s wing. From a small piece of red paper we will make a comb on the head. To do this, fold the paper in half, make long, frequent cuts and glue it to the bird figure.

Rooster - corrugated paper applique

5. Color the parts of the body that are not covered with pencils or markers. In our case, we painted the head and belly of the rooster green, and the beak and earrings red.

we have such a bright and elegant cockerel You can arrange it in the form of a postcard and attach it to a gift for someone close to you.

Now we will make a very bright and cheerful craft from children's handprints . Prepare your palms and a lot of colored paper. Now we're going to be naughty!

We will need these materials:

• colored paper 8 colors: - yellow - red - black - green - blue - orange - light blue - brown • sheet of white paper • glue stick • scissors • pencil or pen

Manufacturing steps:

1. Take as much paper of different colors as possible. We place the child’s palm on a sheet of colored paper, trace the silhouette and cut it out. Make more colorful palms.

2. Cut out the head of a cockerel from blue paper. To do this, you can first draw it with a pencil and then cut it out. From red paper we cut out a sharp beak and a droplet earring. Glue the head, and the beak and earring to it onto a white sheet of paper.

3. Glue 2 red palms onto the top of the head so that it looks like a cockerel's comb.

4. Let's make the bird's eye from black paper and gray or white paper. Now we lay out the neck and body of the bird with our palms, alternating colors and placing them overlapping with our fingers outward.

5. We continue in this way with our palms the entire body of the bird, paws and tail of the cockerel.

What an interesting cockerel we have! You can design it as a postcard or just hang a picture on the wall and enjoy it every day.

This craft made from palms is well suited for a large family, company, or decorating a group in kindergarten.

Video: Fabric applique

Rooster made from scrap materials

MK offers several options for applications from various materials and is designed for children 4-6 years old. Using the principle of paper appliqué, a fabric composition is made. Children of the middle and senior groups can handle creative work. The parts are cut out of fabric (preferably cotton) and glued to the base.

Cockerel made of fabric or felt

To make a fabric composition, you need to prepare:

  • multi-colored fabric;
  • scissors;
  • paper or fabric for the base;
  • stencil of all elements of the cockerel;
  • pencil;
  • PVA glue.

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. print and cut out the elements of the cockerel (body, wing, tail feathers, comb);

  2. use a pencil to trace the elements on the fabric;
  3. cut out parts of the cockerel's body;

  4. carefully smearing the glue on the wrong side of the workpieces, glue them to the base step by step: first the body, tail, comb, then the wing, eyes, beard;
  5. frame the finished work.

In the preparatory group you can perform more complex creative work. For example, a felt panel. All elements are cut out of felt and glued to a felt base on top of each other. The results are real masterpieces!

Cockerel from cereals

Application from cereals requires attention and accuracy and is suitable for classes in the middle group. The applique is interesting in that parts of the cockerel’s body are filled with grits (glued) and then painted with paints. You can also pre-color the cereal and dry it. Then use for applique. The result is an original textured composition.

Button cockerel

Children from the older group will definitely like this button applique. To do this, you will need an outline drawing of a cockerel, glue (it is better to use a glue gun, so the buttons will stick firmly to the applique) and buttons. The main difficulty of the composition of buttons lies in the correct dense placement of buttons of different diameters on the contour diagram of the rooster. But the result will impress even parents.

Plasticine cockerel

Plasticine is a universal material for many children's projects. Application is no exception. A beautiful colorful cockerel with convex feathers will be made from plasticine on a base. To work you will need:

  • plasticine of different colors;
  • thick cardboard;
  • modeling board;
  • silhouette of a cockerel;
  • pencil.

The following steps are performed step by step:

  1. draw the silhouette of a rooster on thick cardboard (circle the template);
  2. cover the silhouette with plasticine without going beyond the lines;
  3. roll and form all the necessary elements on the board - feathers, scallop, wing, etc.;
  4. glue the parts to the plasticine blank on the cardboard.

Cockerel made from rolled napkins

A lot of creative works of varying levels of complexity are made from napkins.
The cockerel is assembled from twisted lumps of multi-colored napkins by trimming them. The work develops fine motor skills, attention and perseverance well. In addition, making such an application requires a lot of time, so the craft is designed for children studying in the preparatory group. What you will need for work:

  • napkins of different colors;
  • template (outline image of a cockerel);
  • PVA glue;
  • the basis.

Main stages of work:

  1. guided by the lines of the drawing, begin to fill the empty spaces with pellets of napkins, gluing them in dense rows;

  2. tearing small pieces from the napkin and rolling them into lumps of approximately the same volume;

  3. cut out an image of a rooster and transfer or glue it to the base;

  4. When all the empty spaces are filled, leave the craft to dry and then frame it.

Application from cotton pads

A voluminous cockerel is obtained from blanks glued on top of each other. For example, a paper rooster will turn out to be more interesting if you duplicate small elements and glue them in layers on pieces of cardboard.

A simple version of a volumetric applique is a cockerel made from cotton pads. Even kids studying in the younger group can cope with the work. The rooster is made up of several cotton pads according to the principle of appliqué from paper circles. In order for the composition to have volume, it is better to make the wings and beard of the cockerel from rolled cotton pads. If desired, the finished composition can be painted.
