Calendar-thematic planning covers a time period equal to one academic year. It reflects the content and purpose of the work program for a quarter, trimester, half-year and year. It is important that after these time periods, a reconciliation of the plan data and the real results of the teacher’s activities is carried out, studying all the course material presented in the work program of the educational institution.

The calendar-thematic plan indicates the order of actions of the teacher in a certain discipline for the academic year, half-year, and quarter. It must meet the requirements of Federal educational standards.

The calendar plan helps the teacher draw up a plan and forecast for his future work, effectively and efficiently distribute available resources: educational material, personnel and labor resources.

Calendar and thematic planning should be drawn up in such a way as to ensure the implementation of educational work in accordance with the program and methodological equipment of the institution, to correctly distribute educational and educational topics and classes, ensuring maximum efficiency in their development.

Calendar-thematic planning has the following purpose:

  1. Makes it possible to determine the place of each topic of a specific academic discipline in the course and the place of each training session on this topic.
  2. Provides an opportunity to identify relationships and make comparative characteristics of the topics and activities of the course.
  3. Provides options for organizing rational work to achieve the training and educational outcomes planned when drawing up the work and educational program.

Since the new Federal State Educational Standards are focused on nurturing the student’s personality and using an individual approach to learning. It involves not just the development of the student, but the creation of conditions for his self-development and self-improvement throughout his life and work. It is required to develop students in all areas of activity and teach them independence and the ability to make decisions in various situations. In this regard, calendar and thematic planning should be focused on the development of students’ personal competencies. This requires indication in terms of final results, regarding not only the acquisition of knowledge and skills in a particular discipline, but also planning of meta-subject and personal results of the implementation of educational activities.

How to write planning

In this article I will try to explain to those who do not have experience in drawing up calendar-thematic planning how to write it.

Firstly, you will need 1) a calendar for 2010/2011, 2) the dates of the duration of all holidays, 3) the Program. 4) a textbook recommended for use in the class for which you intend to plan.

We mark holidays on the calendar - these are fallen dates, we don’t need them. autumn from 30.10 to 07.11 winter from 25.12 to 09.01 spring from 26.03 to 03.04 summer from 01.06 to 31.08

Next, we count the number of full weeks in the school year. If the week is not full, we collect pieces from other quarters. That turns out to be 35 weeks. With our three hours per week, that's 105 annual hours.

It's good when you already have a lesson schedule. Let's look at the example of my 8th grade class. I have him on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. We look at the calendar to see how many lessons in 8th grade need to be planned in the 1st quarter. Let's add up all Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. It turned out to be 26. In the approximate calendar and thematic planning, the number 25 is indicated. Don’t let it confuse you. You have 26 and at the end of the quarter in the column Lessons taught according to the program you will indicate 26. Let's calculate the number of lessons in the second quarter in the same way. It turned out to be 21 . There were no lessons on September 1, but you will have to write down the lesson that was not taught in the journal. Write down a general theme. new calendar and thematic planning. It will help you not to delve into the Program. The compilers, I hope, did not ignore the Program. After all, the teacher must work exactly according to the Program, fulfilling its requirements. But remember that planning in itself is pointless. None. Unsubscribe. The main work is up to you.

It is considered ignorant to rewrite a textbook, dividing units by hour. (I admit, this is exactly what I do. Still, I look at the Program to be sure. In general, people have never understood why this Program is needed if there is a textbook. Let me explain: the Program may contain material that is not in the textbook. Few people pay attention to this attention. Not everyone can understand how our calendar and thematic planning meets the requirements of the Program. In general, it seems to me that no one can. If some material is prescribed in the Program, but it is not in the textbook, you should find it in additional sources independently and include in planning).

You can take the names of grammatical topics from the approximate CTP; they are spelled out more clearly there than in the textbook. The number of hours per unit does not have to correspond to what is written in the approximate technical specification. Write as you need. I am not going to carry out the projects indicated in the PCTP and who knows what else, invented by the drafters.

About the number of hours required for Unit 1. Estimate how many lessons you will need to complete the material of the section. Focus on the complexity of the material, its importance, the number of texts, vocabulary, and so on. For example, I will divide my 26 in 8th grade into 13 and 13. It is possible into 12 and 14, because one lesson we will have is a control lesson.

The new textbook for grade 8 has not yet been received, so I will show you a sample of planning based on the old textbook by Panova and Weise from 2005.

I need the planning material to match my journal entries. Take a look at the instructional and methodological letter. A speech situation should be written down for each lesson. In the first lesson we will write down the topic of oral speech, and for all the rest there will be subtopics. Even if you plan to study grammar for the entire lesson (by the way, no one has canceled it, although oral speech is put at the forefront), the speech situation is required.

Plan your control approximately 2 lessons before the end of the quarter.

I don’t know how much your planning will help you. I use mine. In planning, I did not write the word Vocabulary, replacing it with Speaking. This is usually the first lesson of a section. We introduce vocabulary on a communicative basis. We reinforce it in conditional speech exercises. So much for Speaking. Please note that I have not looked at the Program (I will definitely look), the new textbook for grade 8 begins with a completely different topic. Personally, I will use what I wrote until a new textbook arrives. Because I don’t intend to reinvent the wheel. On September 2, several units of a new textbook for grade 8 were posted on adu.by; they promise to bring the book to the library any day now. For those who are uneasy, plan according to the new textbook using a pdf file. PS Note column is required. In it, as you work, you simply have to make notes (quarantine, agricultural work, sick leave, combined, transferred - this is important. Vitally necessary. Otherwise, they will blow your head off if there is no correspondence in the journal.)

Recommendations for preparing a calendar-thematic plan

In order to correctly draw up a calendar-thematic plan for the Federal State Educational Standard, the teacher must adhere to certain pedagogical recommendations:

  • the content must correspond to the educational program;
  • it is necessary to take into account the age, psychological and individual capabilities of a group of children;
  • work should be planned in all main areas of pedagogical activity (educational, gaming, cognitive, etc.);
  • it is important to adhere to the principles of consistency, systematicity, and complexity of the material;
  • the educational, developmental and educational functions of the educational process should be harmoniously combined in the thematic content of the plan;
  • take into account the season, climate, traditions of the area;
  • Integrate themes into different activities (for example, the topic “animals of the forest” is discussed in language development classes, then children are asked to draw a bunny in educational activities, after which they make one from modeling clay).
