Methodology
A combination of 2-3 types of exercises contributes to achieving the goals that gymnastics is aimed at after sleep. In this case, the complex is usually united by a single plot, that is, physical activity takes on the form of a game. The complexes are changed once a month.

How to make a massage mat with your own hands
A block of active exercises in the cool season is performed indoors on massage mats. You can make these simulators yourself.
- From sponges: sew the sponges, rough side up, in a checkerboard pattern onto thick fabric.
- From buttons: we sew wooden buttons onto thick fabric, maintaining the same distance.
- From felt-tip pens: we sew used felt-tip pens onto the fabric, pressing them tightly together.
- From plastic corks: we make a hole in the corks and sew them to the fabric.
You can make a mat from a film with bubbles, which is used for transporting equipment. But such simulators will have to be changed frequently, since the packaging cellophane quickly breaks down.

Lesson time plan
To maintain interest and maintain an emotional mood, you should adhere to the time frame for completing each block.
- Exercises in cribs - 1.5–2.5 minutes.
Gymnastics in bed puts kids in a working mood
- Active block (gymnastics near the cribs) - 2–3 minutes.
- Breathing exercises – 1–2 minutes.
- Walking on massage mats - 1 minute.
The tasks are combined taking into account the fact that all gymnastics lasts up to 7 minutes.

Analysis of gymnastics after sleep
Any structural element of the kindergarten educational program is regularly analyzed. As for monitoring gymnastics after sleep, it is necessary in order to form a general impression of the effectiveness of measures aimed at preserving and strengthening the health of children, as well as in order to assess the emotional background in the group. The gymnastics analysis scheme is developed by the methodological team of the preschool institution, taking into account the specialization of the group. This work is carried out monthly, since usually the complex is developed for two weeks to a month. At the beginning of the analytical report the following is indicated:
- name of the preschool institution and group;
- teacher's name;
- date of gymnastics;
- age of children;
- number of children in the group.

The daily routine directly affects the child’s life. Sleep as a routine element of the structure of the educational process in kindergarten is very important for the health of children. The method of performing gymnastics after a nap includes the development of a set of exercises aimed at activating the work of all muscle groups, improving the mood of the children, as well as creating optimal conditions for a productive continuation of the day.
Why do you need gymnastics after sleep?
For the normal course of vital processes in the child’s body, it is necessary to competently organize the process of awakening, that is, a leisurely transition from a state of rest to wakefulness. The set of exercises after a nap, which should be carried out to the accompaniment of soft, slow music and rhymes, includes:
- stretching;
- alternate swings of arms and legs;
- warm-up elements for fingers;
- a set of tasks for performing gymnastics for the respiratory system.
The basic rule for conducting classes after a nap is to avoid sudden body movements in order to prevent muscle strain, increased excitability and headaches.
The awakening process should be gradual, without jerks or loud sounds.
Purposes of the exercises
Preserving and promoting health is the main task of the educational process in a preschool institution. The goals of organizing gynastics after sleep are:
- increasing muscle tone;
- improved mood;
- prevention of disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
It is also very important to help your child develop the habit of stretching after waking up.
The implementation of the assigned tasks is facilitated by:
- moderate physical activity;
- alternating cold and warm air baths;
- water procedures (if this kind of hardening is envisaged by the preschool program).
