Master class on types of arts and crafts, as an example of educational technology

Vera Sergeevna Cherepanova,

teacher organizer 1st quarter category

“Master class on types of arts and crafts,

as an example of pedagogical technology"

Having studied the literature on this issue, we can identify the main features of pedagogical technology.

1. pedagogical technology is defined as the activity of the teacher and students,

2. this activity is necessarily based on pedagogical laws and patterns,

3. teaching and learning activities are carefully designed in advance,

4. The technology guarantees high results.

The specificity of pedagogical technology is that it constructs and implements an educational process that should guarantee the achievement of its goals.

Based on the above characteristics, the “Master Class” form of work is the best possible example of pedagogical technology. There are several dozen definitions of the concept “Master Class” in the scientific literature. To describe this pedagogical technology within the framework of the arts and crafts direction, we will use the following concept:

A master class is an effective form of transfer of knowledge and skills, exchange of teaching and educational experiences, the central element of which is the demonstration of original methods of mastering certain content with the active role of all participants in the lesson

.

Particularly relevant is the use of master classes in the arts and crafts direction of the Children's Art Center. Master classes are held for all participants in the educational process: students of DDT associations, teachers and parents. The goals and objectives of conducting MC may be different.

The general goal of the master class for teachers : creating conditions for professional communication, self-realization and stimulating the growth of the creative potential of teachers;

General objectives of the master class for teachers:

· improving the professional skills and qualifications of teachers;

· dissemination of advanced pedagogical experience;

· introduction of new technologies of training and education.

The general goal of the master class for children and parents: popularization of manual labor, creation of a situation of success to stimulate independent development of one or another type of creativity.

General objectives of the master class for children and parents:

· transfer of methods of activity, be it a technique, method, technique or technology;

· transfer of productive ways of working;

· acquaintance with new DPI techniques with the opportunity to try your hand at making a product using this technique;

· dissemination of technological developments in various directions of DPI, etc.

A feature of the master classes is careful preparation: from the theoretical justification of the proposed topic to materials for practical implementation.

Preparation of a master class begins with the choice of a specific technique (for example: quilling, decoupage or bouquets of candies). This is followed by setting specific goals and objectives for the master class. The choice of the target audience (beginners, professionals, mixed audience), the choice of the form of delivery, and, accordingly, the volume of information offered and the level of complexity of the practical part of the master class depend on them.

A master class usually includes the following parts:

Introduction.

The master (teacher conducting the MC) introduces students to the topic of the upcoming lesson, its purpose and objectives, and briefly covers its content.
The theoretical part of the master class may include technological and
methodological parts.
The technological part includes a demonstration of products or elements of products manufactured using the technology presented by the author. Can be framed as a multimedia presentation. This also includes familiarizing the audience with the equipment, tools and materials necessary for the manufacture of this product: preparation of the material, necessary requirements for its quality, types of hand tools and equipment used, their correct use, safety precautions when working with them. The methodological part is mainly present when organizing MK with teachers and includes the features of teaching this technology in classes with children.
Practical part .

MK participants, under the guidance of a teacher-master, perform a practical task from materials (blanks) prepared in advance by him, based on the technological techniques demonstrated in the theoretical part of MK. As a rule, the teacher conducting the master class provides the students with tools and materials. In some cases, it is possible to agree in advance with the MK participants on self-sufficiency of material in the required quantity.

It is best when the result of the practical part is a finished product. As a practical task, you can offer the manufacture of a separate finished element of a product (for example, a method for making a paper flower to create a homemade postcard) and suggest various ways to use it in products.

Discussion of the master class includes questions to the head of the MK, exchange of opinions of its participants. The master teacher, taking into account the wishes of his audience, recommends literature, Internet sites for additional information on this issue, courses and seminars for advanced training and gaining creative experience, informs where you can purchase materials and tools, which exhibitions are worth visiting (including including children).

When working with children's audiences (especially primary school students), the use of theatricality and role-playing situations with fairy-tale characters is very effective. Children seem to be immersed in a fairy-tale world, where they have to help fairy-tale characters in solving certain problems (for example, help Dunno make a gift for her mother using the “cutting” technique, or Cinderella decorate plates for her stepmother’s arrival using the “Decoupage” technique).

At the House of Children's Creativity in the city of Kachkanar, there is a practice of conducting master classes with all of the above categories of participants. Thus, only in the first half of the academic year, teachers of the Children's Art Center, as well as invited masters, conducted the following MKs:

· “Peskography” (category of students – teachers; presenter – teacher of additional education);

· “Snake from beads” (category of listeners - teachers; presenter - teacher of additional education);

· Decorating paper plates using the “decoupage” technique (category of students – teachers; presenter – teacher-organizer);

· “Dolls made of nylon” (category of listeners – teachers; presenter – teacher);

· “Delicious bouquets” - making flowers from sweets (category of listeners - teachers; presenter - teacher-organizer);

· “Photo frame for mommy” - making a photo frame using the “cutting” technique (listener category - students; presenter - teacher-organizer);

· “Cardmaking – making postcards with your own hands” (category of listeners – parents; presenter – teacher-organizer);

· “Scrapbooking - as a modern type of creative writing” - making a bookmark using scrapbooking elements (category of listeners - students, parents; presenter - teacher-organizer);

· “Weaving braids. Type of weaving - knots" (category of listeners - students; presenter - teacher of additional education).
