Lesson Plan

Preliminary work: Distribution of students into groups, election of captains

1. Work on the topic of the lesson:

The teacher announces the topic of the lesson:

“Terrorism and Human Security”

Guys, today we must solve the problem, answer the question “Is terrorism a threat to humanity?”

A) Association task.

Guys, you have leaves on your tables. Write on them 5 word associations that arise in your mind when you hear the word “terrorism”. These can be images, concepts, any words that reflect your emotions. You have 2 minutes for this work.

And now the captain of each group will read out what words you wrote at the board.

As we see, you have similar concepts, this word evokes the same emotions in you. The same thoughts arise in all people in the world who are faced with this concept of “terrorism”.

The teacher gives a definition:

What is TERRORISM?

Terrorism (from the Latin TERROR - fear, horror) - violent actions of criminals with the aim of undermining the existing government, complicating international relations, political and economic extortion from states and corporations.

Terrorism has become one of the most dangerous socio-political problems in terms of its scale, unpredictability and consequences. Today, terrorism is not only about lone saboteurs, airplane hijackers and kamikaze suicide bombers.

Modern terrorism consists of powerful, ramified and well-organized structures. There are currently about 500 illegal terrorist organizations in the world.

Terrorism has become a profitable business on a global scale with a developed labor market (mercenaries) and investment of capital (weapons supplies, drug trafficking, etc.)

Terrorists have the following methods in their arsenal:

– explosions of objects, shops, events, buildings, vehicles, bridges.

– hostage taking;

– shooting and killing people;

– arson;

– poisoning;

– epidemics;

– man-made disasters;

– threats of a terrorist attack that do not cause material or human casualties, but serve as mass intimidation.

A terrorist act does not know its specific victims, because it is directed, first of all, against the state. His task is to subjugate the state and the entire public, to force them to comply with the demands of terrorists and the individuals and organizations behind them.

The rampant terrorism is today not only a Russian, but also an acute international problem. This is evidenced by many terrorist attacks.

Give examples of terrorist attacks in Russia and other countries of the world.

On the slide: Scary pages of history.

We all need to be able to handle such difficult situations

Our lesson today is about life safety during terrorist attacks. Now we will try to understand some issues.

B) Working with text

You have a text on your desk for each student about safe behavior during hostage situations.

EXERCISE 1:

Read the text and mark the following in the margins next to each paragraph:

I know +

Don't know -

heard something v

Mark all text with these icons. You have 5 minutes for this task.

TASK 2:

Based on the text, fill out the diagram in your group. You can discuss among yourself. 10 minutes are given for this task.

Team captains post “schemes” on the board and read out what the group proposes.

Now let's check if you missed any important information when drawing up the “scheme”.

Now, having completed this work, we know how to behave when taken hostage.

The personal safety of people is paramount today.

As the survey showed:

34% of citizens are very afraid that they themselves or their loved ones may become victims of terrorists.

47% are somewhat afraid

11% have never thought about it

8% are confident that terrorist attacks do not threaten them or their loved ones

But not the entire population knows, much less knows how to behave in such situations.

Watch the video clip and try to create a reminder for the population:

Your actions when suspicious objects are detected.

(work in groups and then show a reminder, it can be in the form of a diagram, drawing, etc.)

The current international situation can hardly be called stable. International terrorism is gaining momentum. Russia is faced with glaring facts of its manifestation.

If this is a threat to humanity, then how to fight terrorism? Is it possible to win this fight?

We work using the “problem field” method. The guys work in groups, offering their thoughts and ideas. 1 group

-
what depends on us;
Group 2 - what is from the state . They are reflected on sheets of paper with notes, drawings or symbols. We analyze.

Russia, like the entire world community, is unable to resist the scale of terrorism. It was these circumstances that necessitated the development of a federal law .

The law defines the legal and organizational framework for the fight against terrorism in the Russian Federation, the procedure for coordinating the activities of federal executive authorities, executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, public associations and organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, officials and individual citizens, as well as rights , duties and guarantees of citizens in connection with the implementation of the fight against terrorism

.

Today we have studied safe behavior during hostage-taking, which allows you to save health and life. Share this information with your family and friends. Our task is to make the percentage of indifferent people much smaller. We need to be prepared for such situations so that this disaster does not take us by surprise.

Lesson summary:

Let's return to the topic of the lesson. So we answered the question “Terrorism is a threat to humanity” in the affirmative.
