Task 2. Baste one part to another.

  1. Cut out pieces measuring 130x40mm and 130x20mm with a 15mm seam allowance along one longitudinal side of the pattern, laying the fabric out in one layer, right side down.
  2. Baste the small piece to the large one, matching the seam allowance cuts.

  3. Trim the seam allowance to a width of 3-5 mm.
  4. Turn the pieces right side out and sew with straight stitches 3-4mm long to form an edging from the large piece.
  5. Iron it.

Task 2. Grind the details.

  1. On the basting pattern, machine stitch with 2.5mm stitches exactly along the three seam lines. Perform turns on the needle at the corners of the bartack at the beginning and end of the stitch.
  2. Remove the temporary assignment line.
  3. Trim the seam allowances to a width of 3-5mm. Cut the seam allowances at the outer corners diagonally, not reaching the line 1-2mm.
  4. Turn the pieces right side out, straighten the corners and sew with straight stitches 3-4mm long, placing the seam on the fold.

Task 4. Finish the neck sections with a hem.

  1. Make patterns according to drawings

2. Cut out the pieces using a 15mm seam allowance, folding the fabric in two layers with the right sides facing in.

3. Cut out parts from adhesive interlining with 15mm seam allowances, folding the material in two layers:

— facing of the front neckline – one piece with a fold;

- facing of the back neck - one piece with a fold.

4. Iron the adhesive pad onto the wrong side of the facing pieces.

5. Transfer the contour lines of the seams to the wrong side of all parts.

6. Sew the shoulder sections of the product.

7. Stitch the shoulder edges of the facing.

8. Overcast and press the shoulder seam allowances of the products, and iron over the facing allowances and overcast the outer edges.

9. Pin the facing and neckline together with right sides facing in. The shoulder seams of the product and the facing are combined. Machine stitch along the seam line. Trim the seam allowances and cut at the curves.

10. Turn the facing to the wrong side and sweep it, forming an edging. Baste the inside edge of the facing. Iron it. If desired, the facing can be stitched along the front side at the desired distance. Attach the facing to the shoulder seam allowances with a few bias stitches.
