Methodological manual for teaching literacy in 1st grade “Workshop of Cyril and Methodius”

The 1st grade cheating test usually takes place in the 3rd quarter of the first grade. If you are looking for texts for a cheating test in 1st grade, then you are the mother of a first-grader and very soon you will have a test. There is an opinion that for the first grade, copying from a text is one of the most important skills; it teaches a child to be observant, concentrate on a task, and switch attention from printed text to his notebook.

Assessment of test cheating in 1st grade

Test cheating in 1st grade is assessed strictly. The assessment is based on the same criteria:

  • “5” – for perfectly completed work, in which there are no corrections and no mistakes.
  • “4” – for work in which 1 mistake was made or there were 1-2 corrections.
  • “3” – for work in which 2 errors were made.
  • “2” – for work in which 3 or more errors were made.

If you are just training and preparing with your child for a cheating test, pay attention not only to whether the child makes mistakes, but also to the beauty and evenness of the axle boxes, their height and correct spelling.

It seems that just recently my first graders crossed the threshold of school, but the first half of the year has already ended, that is, half of first grade is behind us. This means that students should already gain a lot of knowledge and master a number of important skills necessary for future learning. It is not difficult for any teacher to notice that first-graders encounter great difficulties in Russian language lessons. Therefore, I would like to draw attention to the study of subjects in the educational field “Philology”.

From the work program of a 1st grade teacher, it can be understood that the Russian language course by A. V. Polyakova (UMK “Perspective”) assumes that by the end of 1st grade, in the “Spelling and Punctuation” section, students will master the following skills:

‒ apply spelling rules:

  • separate spelling of words;
  • writing the vowel letters i, a, u after the hissing letters zh, sh, shch (in a strong position - under stress);
  • the absence of ь in the letter combinations chk, chn, schn, nsch;
  • word wrap;
  • capital letter at the beginning of a sentence, in proper names;
  • punctuation marks (.?!) at the end of a sentence;
  • words with uncheckable spelling (according to the list in the program);

- accurately copy the text from the board and from the textbook;

- write texts from dictation in accordance with the studied spellings.

During the first half of the year, in Russian language lessons, students practiced:

‒ analysis of the graphic form of new letters, algorithm for writing them;

‒ writing capital and lowercase letters;

- dividing words into syllables;

‒ designation in writing of the softness of consonant sounds using a letter;

- writing syllables with hard and soft consonants (ry-ri, you-vi, etc.);

‒ tracing syllables and words with voiceless and voiced consonants;

‒ recording from dictation words that do not differ from the pronunciation;

‒ writing a capital letter in proper names;

‒ rules for writing proposals;

- placement of stress in words;

- writing words and syllables with soft, voiced and voiceless consonants;

‒ the ability to write capital letters in proper names and at the beginning of sentences;

- convert printed letters into written ones;

- exercise self-control.

I think it is no coincidence that so much time has been allocated for practicing these skills, because without them it is very difficult to cope with the tasks that are set for the student at the end of the second quarter. And they are as follows:

‒ mastering the rules for writing proper names and formatting sentences on a line;

‒ translation of printed texts into written ones;

‒ writing from dictation of words, the spelling of which does not differ from their pronunciation;

- mastering the techniques of correct copying of text.

It can be noted that these skills are content elements that are tested on the CD at the end of 4th grade. Therefore, a teacher of first-graders faces a very difficult task: to teach all these exercises in spelling and punctuation to be performed correctly from the beginning, so as not to have to reteach them later.

We can say that the period of orthographic propaedeutics begins.

“The term “propaedeutics” refers to the study of something on a practical basis, without special study of theory, pre-theoretical study of the material. Orthographic propaedeutics is the study of spelling on a practical basis, the formation of spelling skills that ensure further successful mastery of spelling norms.

The goal of orthographic propaedeutics during the period of learning to read and write is to form in students a solid foundation, the foundation of spelling literacy. The goal is achieved by solving the following specific tasks:

1) Development of students' spelling vigilance.

2) Formation in children of the ability to check or explain what is written in the simplest ways.

3) Teaching children to copy from a ready-made text.

4) Teaching children to write from dictation.

5) Development of children’s speech and thinking.” [1, p.66]

I would like to dwell on learning to cheat.

In the copybook, cheating tasks become more complex gradually: word, sentence, text. When starting any new exercise, you always want to find a reminder for students with an algorithm for performing it. You can find a lot of instructions on “How to copy correctly.” For example, you can find one like this on one of the teachers’ websites.

“Let’s copy the word.

  1. Read the word.
  2. Repeat it.
  3. Tell me how many letters are in the word. You can count in a book with a pencil.
  4. ABOUT.
  5. Read the word again. Moreover, it is very important to read the word as it is written!!! We read “kaza” and write “goat”. The child should read “Goat”! If he read it the way we say, ask about
