Research work “What are vitamins?”

Author: Zaripova Azalia Alfredovna Place of work/study (affiliation): MOBU Secondary School s. Chesnokovka, 4th grade Scientific supervisor: Kirillova Natalya Vladimirovna

Annotation:

Relevance : Human health largely depends on how much healthy food we consume. The benefits of products are based on the content of useful substances - vitamins and microelements.

Vitamins are especially important in the diet of children. They need it for growth, proper formation of muscle, bone and other systems.

This is why I decided to conduct research on this topic: “What are vitamins?”

The purpose of this work is to study the effect of vitamins on human health.

Research objectives:

  • find out what vitamins are and what their role is in the human body;
  • consider the types of vitamins;
  • find out what vitamins are contained in different foods and why these foods are beneficial to humans;
  • what is the risk of vitamin deficiency and how to eliminate it;
  • conduct and analyze data from a survey on the topic: “What do vitamins mean to you?”

The object of study is vitamins.

Subject of research : human health.

Methods : study of specialized literature; interviewing; searching for information on the Internet.

Hypothesis : if we learn about what vitamins are contained in different foods and why these foods are useful for humans, we will be able to tell our friends and family how to properly prevent colds and improve our immunity.

Based on this work, we found that by consuming foods rich in vitamins, we help the body avoid many diseases.

Vegetables and fruits contain almost all the vitamins necessary for the body. Synthetic vitamins can cause allergic reactions, while natural ones, even taken in large doses, do not have such a negative effect.

Thus, the analysis of literary sources, as well as the research we conducted, allows us to draw the following conclusions :

  1. Lack of vitamins leads to weakening of the body.
  2. During periods of exacerbation of colds, it is necessary to take multivitamins, but before taking them, you should consult a specialist.
  3. The diet should be as rich as possible in essential vitamins.

For children, vitamins are one of the main components of their health, energy and rapid, harmonious development. The child’s body needs vitamins for the balanced functioning of all internal organs, the formation of the skeleton and the proper organization of the entire nervous system.
