Progress of the lesson

Teacher: Guys, today we have an unusual class hour. We will take a short trip to...apartments. Yes, yes, I was not mistaken! Exactly to your apartments. I even have a travel map.

On the board is a diagram of a two-room apartment.

Teacher: Let's see how well you know your home? Are you the real masters of the house?

We live in well-appointed apartments, in comfort, with machines doing all the hard work. What kind of cars are these?

Children: Vacuum cleaner, washing machine, electric stove, hair dryer,…

The teacher attaches pictures to the board.

Teacher: Thanks to what they do their work, you will learn from the riddle:

To distant villages, cities Who walks on the wires? Bright Majesty! This is... (electricity)

Electricity brings us great benefits. It produces energy. What do you think energy is? (Children's answers)

Energy is the force that sets things in motion. That is, energy is needed in order to start any movement, speed up movement, lift something, heat it, illuminate it.

The word “ENERGY” itself is somehow intangible at first glance. Don't see, don't touch! However, nothing around us happens without the participation of this very energy.

Man has invented many ways to make mechanical devices do useful work using energy:

  • in houses, water is lifted to the upper floors by pumps from water pumping stations, which consume energy;
  • they warm houses - thermal power plants, the operation of which also requires energy;
  • not to mention the lighting of apartments;
  • about the operation of a variety of electrical appliances: vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, televisions, etc.;
  • They even transport citizens to and from work - cars whose engines also need this resource.

Let's imagine that a city apartment is left without energy, which it receives in the form of gas, electricity and hot water. What do we do? (Children's answers)

Let's shout “SOS”!

We so want to live in comfort! But you have to pay for comfort with the destruction of forests and the flooding of cities! This is a very serious problem. But you can find a way out of almost any problem.

Today we will try to find the simplest solutions that will help save energy. What is energy saving? How do you understand this? (Children's answers)

Energy saving is not only about saving money in the family budget, it is also about caring for those who will live after us on planet Earth, it is about caring about OUR CHILDREN.

And one of these solutions is to learn to use the energy at our disposal as efficiently and environmentally friendly as possible.

How to become the master of the house? Learn how to use energy efficiently? The all-knowing little man Elektrosha and of course you guys will help us with this.

(Electrosha - 6-7th grade student)

Electrosha: Energy saving in apartments is achieved by lower consumption rates of water and electricity.

Teacher: So, we will start our journey around the house from the bathroom.

On the board there is a picture of a tap, water is pouring from the tap.

We love water, water, water, we turn on the tap and we ruin it by the liter. Know that by saving water, sister, you will give your descendants the opportunity to get drunk.

Electrosha: Water from the tap flows quickly. In a minute, 12-20 liters of priceless fresh water flow out of an open tap! But saving water is just a matter of habit.

Teacher: How can we save water? (Children's answers). Let's try to formulate the rules of a good owner:

  • Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth or using a glass to rinse your mouth.
  • Wash dishes not under running water, but in the sink, closing the hole with a stopper.
  • And most importantly, don’t forget to turn off the water!

Electrosha: Three simple rules - and in a year you can save an entire lake with a diameter of 200 meters and a depth of 2 meters. In addition, you save the chemicals that are used to purify the water and the energy that is used to heat and pump it.

Teacher:

They hung this item from the ceiling, it became fun in the house. It looks like a pear outside, hangs idle during the day, and lights up the house at night. (Bulb)

Guys, why do you think the light bulb hangs idle during the day? (Children's answers)

Electrosha:

The lamp will burn for a day - it will burn a hundred kilos of coal! If it shines in vain, where is the economy of raw materials?

On the board is a picture of a brightly glowing light bulb.

Teacher: What can we do to prevent the lamp from shining in vain? (Children's answers)

Electrosha: The average electricity consumption for lighting an apartment is approximately 1 kW/h. But this consumption can also be reduced by periodically wiping the light bulbs: a well-wiped light bulb shines 10 - 15% brighter than a dirty, dusty one. And also, use overhead lights less often. 60 W in a table lamp will completely replace 200 W in your ceiling.

Teacher: From the bathroom we will go to the kitchen. There are a lot of things here that require our attention. Here

Admire, look - the North Pole is inside! Snow and ice sparkle there, Winter itself lives there. (Fridge)

There is a picture of a refrigerator on the board.

Why do we need a refrigerator? (Children's answers)

The refrigerator got angry, took it, and turned itself off. “It’s difficult to work,” he says, “if thick ice hangs.”

Teacher: How can you and I help the refrigerator? (Children's answers). Listen to what Elektrosha will tell us.

Electrosha: The optimal place for a refrigerator in the kitchen is the coolest place. At an outside temperature of 20 degrees, the refrigerator consumes 6% less energy. So, you should not place the refrigerator near the radiator or other heating devices. A large “fur coat” in the freezer also has an extremely negative effect on the operation of the refrigerator. Therefore, help the adults, don’t be too lazy to thaw it once again. This will make it more economical.

Teacher: Well, this thing in the kitchen is simply irreplaceable. Who is the boss of the house and knows how to use the stove economically? (Children's answers)

On the board there is a picture of an electric stove.

Electrosha:

I’ll offer you one secret - I’ll give you an economical recipe: Turn on the oven. When it boils - Turn it off and wait a little... Slowly the food boils, It stores electricity.

Hundreds of kilowatt-hours of energy can be saved per kitchen utensil. It is only enough that the pan slightly overlaps the electric stove burner and fits tightly against it. Pots with a convex or concave bottom, as well as pots with a thick layer of scale, waste 50% of the electricity, and at the same time about the same amount of time.

Teacher: And here are two more inhabitants of the kitchen.

From a hot well, water flows through the nose. (Kettle)

Who likes to drink tea? This means you know how to use a kettle. (Children's answers) Then why do they use a thermos in the kitchen? On a hike, it’s clear: there’s no stove or electric kettle nearby, and it’s not always possible to start a fire. (Children's answers)

On the board is a picture of a thermos.

The thermos will not surprise us, it stores water for us. Hot, cold, suitable for everything.

Teacher: Count how many times a day do you boil water?

How much boiled water do you use? (Children's answers)

Electrosha: Surely, 2 - 3 glasses, and the rest of the water cools in the kettle. What if you take this water and pour it into a thermos? Then you won’t have to waste time boiling it every time you want to drink tea, and you’ll also save energy.

Teacher: Let's continue the journey. But what is it, along the way we meet two more things necessary in the house.

I'll walk around a little hot, and the sheet will become smooth. I can correct imperfections and draw arrows on my trousers. (Iron)

Who helps parents iron laundry at home? Tell us how you do it. (Children's answers)

There is a picture of an iron on the board.

And the irons said: We are not enemies of the housewives! As soon as you iron your jacket, turn off your iron, and with the remaining heat we will iron all the silks.

Electrosha: You can save energy even when ironing. To do this, you need to remember that clothes that are too dry and too wet have to be ironed longer, which means more energy consumption. And one more “little thing”: the iron can be turned off a few minutes before the end of work; The residual heat will be enough for this time.

Teacher: Girls are definitely familiar with this thing.

On the board there is a picture of a hair dryer.

The hairdryer puffs, makes noise, hums, he wants to please everyone. And you dry your head under the sun, Let the hairdryer have a better rest.

Teacher: Guys, why do you think it’s better to dry your hair naturally? (Children's answers)

Electrosha: Hot air coming from a hair dryer does not have a very good effect on your hair: it makes it dry and brittle. Maybe it’s better, if there’s nowhere to rush, to dry your hair in the sun? This way you will save the health of your hair and several kilowatts of electricity.

Teacher: It’s winter now. And we are traveling through a warm apartment. So here it is

So that the cold winter does not sneak into our houses, you insulate the windows - And live in warmth!

But it happens that in winter we complain about the cold in our apartments and blame the organizations that provide us with heat energy. Have we done everything ourselves to preserve precious warmth in our homes? (Children's answers) How can we keep warm in our homes? (Children's answers)

There is a picture of a girl on the board; she closes the windows tightly.

Here's a little test for you:

  1. In the fall, did you insulate all the windows, balconies and doors in your house?
  2. Do you remember to close the doors at the entrance?
  3. Don't you keep your windows open all the time?
  4. Do you close the curtains at night to keep in extra warmth?
  5. Is the furniture arranged correctly in your apartment: have you moved the sofa and table away from the radiator so that heat can freely pass into our apartment?

Elektrosha: Since you answered in the affirmative, it means you managed to reduce the cost of heating your apartment by about 5-10%. For those who have answered “no” at least once, this test will serve as a guide to action.

Teacher: Guys, we can travel around our apartment for a long time. We visited the kitchen and bathroom. We were neither in the living room nor in the children's room. But I suggest you end our journey here and start doing creative work: creating a book

“About frugality in pictures” or “Am I thrifty?”, or “How to become a master in the house.”

I think it's not the title, but the content. Today in class we understood the main thing: we must save energy, not only at home, but also at school, so that the reserves of combustible minerals last for a longer period. You now know the answers to the questions: How to become the master of the house? Learn how to use energy efficiently? (Children's answers)

Electrosha:

Know that you need to save Water, coal, gas and oil. If you do this, they will last for many years.

When using natural resources, think about what will happen tomorrow. Will it even be “TOMORROW”? Today our planet is on the verge of an environmental catastrophe and its most dangerous harbinger is the greenhouse effect. It is caused by an increase in the content of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which is formed in huge quantities when fuel is burned. The same fuel that is used to provide our apartments with light, heat and water. This means that the fate of our planet depends on each of us, on all of humanity, or rather, on how much we consume natural resources!

The class hour ends with the “inclusion” of children in project activities: the creation of the book “How to become a master of the house”
