In winter, as in the warm season, it is important for a child to be in the fresh air.

Entertainment and outdoor games in the winter bring great joy to children and provide great benefits to their health. Various outdoor games for children - playing with snow, sledding, etc. are very exciting for children. By playing outdoor games, you increase the duration of your walk. And the parents themselves, playing with their children, will not notice how time has flown by on a winter walk.

The most favorite entertainment for children in winter is sledding. But you can try to teach your child skiing and skating. Using game exercises you can achieve a lot!

Game “Who will pull who over” Equipment. Rope 3-4 m long, two sleds. Description. Two players take part in the game. A circle with a diameter of 1 m is drawn on the site. Two sleds are tied to the ends of the rope. The rope is pulled so that it passes through the center of the circle and the sled is on both sides of the circle at an equal distance from the center. Two players sit on the sleigh facing each other. The task of each of them is to pull their opponent inside the circle. The players hold onto the sled with their hands and push off the ground with all their might with their feet. Handling the rope is not allowed. The winner is the one who was able to pull the sled with the opponent into the circle.

"Jumpers"

The number of people playing this game is not limited. You can play with two, three, four or more. Children should each stand next to their sled and, at the command of an adult, begin to jump next to them on both legs, gradually moving from the end of the sled to its beginning and vice versa.

"Sled Train"

This game requires more players - about 7-8 people. Its essence is that 3-4 sleds are connected to each other, children sit on them, and others - older children or adults - carry this “train”, pushing the kids around. In addition, children of the same age can push each other or two children can pull a “train” of two interconnected sleds in which the other two are sitting. You need to carry each other in turns, alternately changing places. This winter outdoor game is great for large groups of children.

"Troika"

This game, which also has plot and role-playing elements, requires five children. In advance you need to make an arc with bells from cardboard or branches, and reins from rope. Three children “harness” to the arc, and two sit on the sled. The person sitting in front holds the reins and controls the “troika”. After some time, the children change places.

“Oh, I’ll give it a ride!”

You or your husband can play this winter outdoor game with your child. For her, you will need a sled with a back so that the baby does not fall out of it when driving fast. When the child sits in the sled, and you or your husband take the rope in your hands, warn the baby that at first he will go slowly, then, accelerating, tell him that now you are going a little faster. And finally say: “And now I will rush you very quickly!” and drive at maximum speed.

"Reindeer Sleds"

This is fun with elements of a role-playing game. For her, two children are enough, one of whom will be a deer and the other a passenger. For a child pretending to be a deer, cardboard antlers are made in advance and attached to a hat. Two ropes are tied to the sled - one to control the “deer”, the other to fasten it to the belt of the “deer” so that it carries the sled.

Children love outdoor games with snow and will be happy to do the exercises offered to them.

A fun winter activity is constructing various structures out of snow. You can get dustpans, shovels, brooms and buckets; they will be very useful for you on walks.

Outdoor game "King of the Hill"

For this game, find or build the tallest snow mountain. All participants must stand at the base of the mountain. At the signal, all participants climb the mountain, while trying to push and push away their neighbors. The first one to reach the top becomes King of the Hill.

But this is not the end of the game! You can only be king of the hill for a short time, for example, 5 minutes. The remaining participants must try to push the Tsar off the mountain, and he must withstand the onslaught of the attackers.

The winner is the one who remains on the top of the mountain after time.

Outdoor game "Snowball"

If there is a lot of snow outside, be sure to play this outdoor game. It is especially good if the snow is pliable and wet, since it is very difficult to fashion anything from snow caught in the frost.

Make a small snowball and start rolling it on the snow, over time a snowball will grow. The more it turns out, the better.

You can organize a competition for the largest snowball, and if you decorate it with cones found under the snow, twigs or chestnuts, or paint it with paints, it will be even more beautiful.

Outdoor game “Push out of the circle”

Draw a circle about one meter in diameter in the snow. Two participants stand in a drawn circle and try to push each other out. Anyone who cannot stay on his feet slips and falls.

In order to diversify the game, you can exclude your hands from the game, for example, by putting them behind your back.

Outdoor game “Building an igloo”

An igloo is an Eskimo dwelling made of water and snow. The Eskimos build their igloos over several days, but the small rooms of their houses can be built in a small amount of time. This can also be done at speed.

All participants should split into two teams. The teams' goal is to build igloos or even entire Eskimo villages. This is a difficult task, so approach it carefully.

At the beginning of the game, the participants of both teams develop their strategy: how many igloos they will build, how and where they will be located, what actions each participant will perform, and how the buildings will be decorated.

Pictograms and hieroglyphs can be drawn on the needle, patterns can be sculpted using snow, etc.

Once the basic plan of action has been discussed, it is time for active play. All grandiose ideas can be realized in snow. If the snow is not very sticky, you can moisten it with water, and then there will be no problems when sculpting from snow. Therefore, take a container of water with you on your walk. Before the game starts, the teams agree on how long they will spend building the igloo.

The winner is the team whose village or igloo turns out to be well built and the most beautiful.

Outdoor game “Hit the target”

Draw two circles with diameters of 25-30 centimeters on the wall. Opponents try to hit targets with snowballs. The one who hits the target the most times wins. Children simply love this game!

Snowballs

One of the most striking examples of folk winter games on the street for children and adults is playing snowballs. You can just throw snowballs at each other, or you can play games.

For example, in "Snow Bouncer" . The driver is located in the center of the designated circle; the players stand along its contour. The driver throws snowballs at the kids running in a circle, and whoever he hits will continue to drive. The game requires preparation: you need to draw a circle on a snowy area and stick snowballs for the driver. Usually kids make snowballs with great pleasure while adults draw a circle. Its diameter can be made larger, especially if there are a lot of guys. When everything is prepared, we identify the driver with a counting rhyme and start on command. Music will be very helpful.

Creative winter fun for the whole family

Snow angel

At a time when there were no computer games yet, children spent whole days outside, entertaining themselves on their own. It's time to remember old fun, like creating a snow angel! Show your child how to make it, and he will be absolutely delighted! Have you forgotten? Then just fall on your back into the snowdrift, swing your arms and legs, and carefully rise up without ruining your creation. A beautiful snow angel is ready.

Drawings in the snow

There is nothing easier than drawing in the sand, but you can also do it in the snow. Find a thin twig for your child and show him what fancy patterns can be created by moving it across the snow.

Exploring snowflakes

You have never seen how beautiful a small snowflake is, you even wonder how nature could create such beauty in miniature. Give your child a high-magnification magnifying glass and let him admire the snowflakes.

A little trick: if you have a SLR camera, don’t be too lazy to photograph snowflakes against a dark background by selecting the macro mode; the wonderful pictures will surprise even you, and even more so your baby.

Where to go with your child on New Year's holidays

Traces of unknown animals

Footprints are clearly visible in the snow, but what if a bunny ran along the path? Use your imagination to create unusual marks. For example, the tracks of bent knees look like horse tracks, and the tracks of a fist look like the small paws of a fox. You can also create cardboard templates of bear paws or elephant legs, tie them to boots and trace them well in the forest, to everyone’s surprise.

You can also create a tractor track in the snow, just put your feet in a herringbone position and, without lifting your feet, move through the snow. For especially nimble children, you can offer the game “get on the trail” - let the baby follow the snowdrifts, placing a knife with precision in the previous trail left by you.

Miracles from the snow

Every child sculpted a snow woman, maybe it’s worth trying something new that will entertain the whole family and delight passers-by?

  1. A whole family of snowmen in bright scarves, standing, for example, on the porch of a house.
  2. Snowman upside down or sitting on a park bench.
  3. Snow cake decorated with twigs and pebbles.
  4. You can make a turtle, a dog, and even a real horse out of snow, on which the whole yard will be photographed.

At the end of the article, we have prepared for you a checklist “Dressing your child for a walk.” Download it and dress your little ones correctly in any weather!

Drawing with snowballs

Original designs can be created using snowballs on the walls of houses or on a fence. Prepare a large number of snowballs and “sculpt” them onto a vertical surface in a certain order, as if using a stencil. The drawing, of course, will be schematic, but its size will impress any passerby. Using the same principle, you can decorate trees near your house by making squirrels that climb up the trunk.

Treasure hunter

Have your children already searched for imaginary treasure on a pirate ship? Then it's time to change the terms of the game. Now a group of searchers led by the youngest member of the family is on an uninhabited northern island, or on the top of a snowy mountain. A treasure has been hidden here for many years, which no one can find, but your little one will definitely manage! Just don’t forget to prepare tips for him and put the gift in a waterproof bag.

“Winter” sports for children: what to choose?

Painting snow and ice

Paints and brushes, molds for ice and snow, a little imagination and ice sculptures are born, and maybe even jewelry!

  1. Before the New Year, you can create Christmas tree decorations from ice and decorate the Christmas tree in your yard with them. Fill regular sandbox molds with water of different colors, don’t forget the ribbon folded in half, put it directly into the water at the base of the figure. When the ice hardens, hang the toy from this ribbon.
  2. Paint with colored water or watercolors on the snow.
  3. Freeze any large shapes and then decorate your yard with them. For example, pour colored water into a plate and you will get a beautiful pebble for the path.
  4. Create colorful icicles by pouring some colored water on the roof.
  5. Another unusual idea will appeal to little fashionistas - ice pendants; of course, they can only be worn outside. They are created on the same principle as Christmas tree toys.

Candles made of snow and ice

Very beautiful and unusual candles can be created from snow and ice.

  1. Stick a large pile of snowballs of the same size, build a narrow fortress out of it, and place a candle or flashlight inside it. From a distance, such a simple structure looks very beautiful.
  2. Freeze a glass jar in a container of water, adding spruce branches and cranberries to the water. Chip off the excess ice, and place a regular candle inside the jar. An excellent option for a winter picnic.

Ice fortresses

And, of course, build entire kingdoms out of snow for your little one, who will feel like a real king in such chambers. For construction you can use:

  1. A regular bucket: just fill it with snow, creating shape after shape in a circle.
  2. Ice blocks that usually remain after clearing the road of ice.
  3. You can dig a tunnel in the snow, and also build a labyrinth in which unknown monsters live.

There seem to be so many ideas that you can't wait to get outside to try it all out. Another win-win option is a family picnic in the forest, where the ability to build huts out of snow or distinguish the tracks of animals will come in handy.
