Extracurricular event on literature “In the world of Russian folklore” (grades 5 - 7)

"IN THE WORLD OF RUSSIAN FOLKLORE"

(INTERACTIVE GAME FOR STUDENTS OF 5th – 7th GRADES)

  1. Teacher's opening speech. Russian culture is rooted in ancient times. We can verify this by visiting the local history museum, where household items and works of art from bygone centuries are collected. Many works of art and ancient monuments tell us about a bygone culture and ancient monuments: preserved temples, monasteries and much more. Without knowing the history of the past, it is impossible to know the present. Folklore—oral folk art—helps us get acquainted with the past.

Please remember what genres of folklore you know. (Proverbs, sayings, riddles, jokes, tongue twisters, songs (ritual, historical and lyrical), ditties, epics, fairy tales, jokes, clumsiness.)

Today we are pleased to welcome you to the festival of Russian folklore. Here you will hear jokes and awkwardness; you will solve riddles, make up proverbs and compose ditties; watch fairy tales and dance; You will hear folk songs and play folk games. I’m sure you won’t be bored: you’ll laugh yourself and amuse others.

  1. Literary critic V. Anikin states: “Riddles not only test a person’s intelligence - they open up a world of exciting poetry, the most daring in comparisons.” So first of all, guess the riddles. I ask those who guessed to come to the stage.
I’m sitting astride I don’t know who. I’ll meet an acquaintance, I’ll jump off and greet him. (A cap.)
  2. And lumpy, and spongy, and soft, and brittle, and the cutest of all. (Bread.)
  3. White as snow, puffed up like fur, he walks on shovels. (Goose.)
  4. They run flat, with their socks turned up. (Skis.)
  5. You have it, I have it, the oak tree in the field, the fish in the sea. (Shadow.)
  6. The black horse gallops into the fire. (Poker.)
  7. Two mothers have five sons, all with the same name. (Fingers.)
  8. Two bellies, four ears. (Pillow.)
  9. She lies on the hay, doesn’t eat herself and doesn’t give it to others. (Dog.)
  • And now it comes to fairy tales. It was about them that A.S. Pushkin said: “A fairy tale is a lie, but there is a hint in it! A lesson to good fellows." Which folk tales do we all know and love? (“Turnip”, “Kolobok”, “Teremok”, etc.) Exercise:

Our experts in riddles are given the right to become heroes of the fairy tale “Kolobok”.

  • But we will determine which of them will play what role in the most reliable way - with counting rhymes, about which the following is known: with counting rhymes they decided who should drive. Once upon a time, counting was not a game: people believed in the power of numbers.

An expert in counting rhymes is invited to the stage. Then the “actors” are given pieces of paper with the words of their characters and are given 5–7 minutes to rehearse.

IV. Soon we will watch a fairy tale, and now it’s time for tongue twisters. Those wishing to participate in the competition for the best talker are invited to the stage. Exercise:

Read these tongue twisters as quickly and clearly as possible:

    1. Tara-bars, rastabars, Varvara’s chickens are old!
    2. Whey from yogurt.
    3. The beavers are going into the pine forests! Good beavers are heading into the forests!
    4. Pour sand into the little yellow skull!
    5. The crested little girls laughed with laughter: ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!
I think our actors are ready for the performance, and now we will admire their talent, but first I invite four poets here. Exercise:

according to the rhymes given to you (wall - recess; pizza - fall in love) compose ditties on a school theme.

    6. In the old days they were very fond of clumsy fables:

Listen, girls, we will sing awkwardly:

A pig grazes on an oak tree, a bear steams in a bathhouse.

I will fall from a high fence straight into the water.

Well, who cares where the splashes go!

I will harness the cat to the droshky, and the kitten to the tarantass.

I will show off my good one to all people!

Probably many of you will come up with such clumsiness. It is much more difficult to compose ditties, and not just simple ones, but ones that talk about school life. A word to our poets. I would like to have a support group join them to perform the ditties they composed.

      1. Over its centuries-old history, the Russian people have created many wise proverbs and sayings. A.S. Pushkin admires them: “What a luxury, what a meaning, what a point in every saying of ours! What gold!” I invite 4 proverb experts to the stage. Exercise:

assemble a proverb from these words and syllables.

      2. And at this time we will listen to jokes, jokes, which also belong to Russian folklore:
    1. Aunt Arina was cooking porridge, Yegor and Boris got into a fight over the porridge.
    2. The fairy tale is over. Well done to those who listened! And every young man from the garden needs a cucumber. - Yes, while we were listening to the fairy tale, the hares ate the cucumbers in the garden.
    3. A trader was walking past the market and tripped over a basket. And fell into the hole - bang. Squished forty flies!

We listen to the “collected” proverbs. Task for spectators:

What other proverbs do you know on these topics? (About the Motherland, about work.)

      1. A lot of interesting things could be seen in previous centuries at folk festivals. But comic games were mandatory. The most popular were Cock Fight and Tug of War. (Those who wish to play in pairs play “Cock Fight”: with your hands behind your back, jumping on one leg, you need to push your opponent so that he stands on both legs. Then 2 teams are recruited for tug of war.)
      2. Always and everywhere, folk holidays were accompanied by Russian folk songs, which warmed, saddened, and made people happy. Experts in Russian folk songs are invited to the stage. Contest

        “Guess the melody” using “Karaoke”.

      3. Boys are invited to the stage for a special surprise competition. For you exercise:

round dance! After all, it is impossible to imagine any national holiday without it.

      4. Where there is suffering, where there is fun, there is always Russian dance! The round dance switches to dancing to "The Lady", those who wish to join.
      5. Conclusion.

Look at the wealth our people left us as a legacy: wise proverbs and cunning riddles, funny and sad songs, solemn epics, instructive tales and much more. This is not only the fruit of popular leisure. This is the dignity and intelligence of the people, contributing to the strengthening of their moral character. Russian folklore has become the historical memory of the people, the festive clothes of their soul. And you and I, admiring folk art, must convey it to our descendants, pass on all this wealth to the next generations of Russians.

This is where our holiday ends. Thank you for your active participation in it. Until next time we meet in the world of Russian folklore.
