Textbook:

Fundamentals of life safety: a textbook for students of 8th grade of educational institutions / A.T. Smirnov, B.I. Mishin, V.A. Vasnev. – M: Education, 2007.

Explanatory note

The work program for the life safety course is compiled in accordance with the State Standard of General Education, which includes three components (Order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation No. 1089 of 03/05/2004).

1. Federal component – established by the Russian Federation.

2. Regional component (national-regional) - established by the constituent entity of the Russian Federation (No. 1089 of December 6, 2004).

3. Educational institution component – established by the educational institution.

When drawing up the work program, the Federal and Regional basic curricula for the life safety course were taken into account, in accordance with which 34 hours per year (1 hour per week) are allocated for studying the life safety course in grades 5–9.

The work program is standard, defining the basic content of the course (federal component of general education programs) and is intended for general education institutions.

The course “Fundamentals of Life Safety” is designed to educate a safe type of personality, well acquainted with modern problems of safety of life and human activity, aware of their exceptional importance, striving to solve these problems, wisely combining personal interests with the interests of society.

The proposed program is designed to cover the course in 8th grade, “Fundamentals of Life Safety,” within 34 hours of instructional time per year. The minimum number of training hours per week is 1 hour.

In the modern world, dangerous and emergency situations of a natural, man-made and social nature have become an objective reality in the life of every person. They pose a threat to his life and health, causing enormous damage to the environment and society. Currently, issues of ensuring a culture of life safety have become one of the urgent needs of every person, society and state.

Life safety culture should be understood as a way of organizing human activity, presented in a system of social norms, beliefs, and values that ensure the preservation of his life, health and the integrity of the surrounding world. The formation of a modern level of safety culture is a school-wide task, since the study of all school subjects contributes to the formation of a modern level of safety culture, but the key role belongs to the subject “Fundamentals of Life Safety.” At the same time, the subject of life safety, through its own system of educational modules, prepares students for safe life activities in their real environment - natural, man-made and social.

The structural program of the course consists of three main sections: human safety in dangerous and emergency situations, the basics of medical knowledge, and the basics of a healthy lifestyle. The relevance of this program is due to the fact that recently there has been an obvious trend towards a deterioration in the health status of the Russian population, and modern school has come to be called the “school of diseases”.

Studying the course allows students to gain a systematic understanding of personal health, a healthy lifestyle, public health, dangers, predicting dangerous situations, assessing the impact of their consequences on human health and life, and developing an algorithm for safe behavior taking into account their capabilities.

The content of the course includes the theory of a healthy lifestyle, human protection in various situations, first aid, as well as practical training in first aid, rules of behavior in extreme situations (through solving situational problems, practical evacuation skills, play-based exercises, studying in real situation of possible dangerous situations in everyday life).

The course “Fundamentals of life safety and culture of health” is aimed at developing in students active and conscious actions in the present and future, focused on:

— improving your own physical and mental health;

- refusal in lifestyle from behavior that harms one’s health and the health of others;

- intolerant attitude towards improper hygienic behavior of other people and deterioration of environmental conditions that are harmful to health;

— conscious participation in health protection and the formation of an environment conducive to health, especially working and living conditions;

- adequate behavior in case of illness, especially chronic, directed

for recovery.

The study of the topics of this curriculum is aimed at solving the following goals:

— formation in students of scientific ideas about the principles and ways of reducing the “risk factor” in human activity and society;

— developing the skills to anticipate dangerous and emergency situations of a natural, man-made and social nature and adequately counteract them;

— formation in students of a model of safe behavior in everyday life and in various dangerous and emergency situations, as well as the development of the ability to assess dangerous situations, make decisions and act safely, taking into account their capabilities.

The study of the topics of this curriculum is aimed at achieving the following objectives:

— mastering knowledge about dangerous and emergency situations;

— about the impact of their consequences on the security of the individual, society and the state;

— on the state system for ensuring the protection of the population from emergency situations;

— on providing first aid in emergency conditions;

— on the rights and responsibilities of citizens in the field of life safety;

— development of personal, spiritual and physical qualities that ensure safe behavior in various dangerous and emergency situations of a natural, man-made and social nature;

- development of skills to anticipate the occurrence of dangerous situations based on the characteristic signs of their occurrence, as well as on the basis.

A logical continuation of the course is extracurricular work, which includes activities aimed at developing safe behavior skills and healthy lifestyle skills, conducting training evacuations based on various introductory training.

Methods and forms of training:

To organize the cognitive activity of students in life safety lessons, it is advisable to use a variety of methods and forms of teaching:

Perceptive (verbal, visual, practical):

story, lecture, conversation, round table, seminars, demonstration, practical exercises. Competitions. Role-playing games.

Logical: (inductive and deductive)

logical presentation and perception of educational material by the student. (Analysis of the situation).

Gnostic: explanatory and reproductive, information retrieval, research.

(Abstract. Report. Project assignment)

Cybernetic: management and self-government of educational and cognitive activities.

Control and self-control

(oral, written).

Stimulation and motivation.

Independent learning activities

.

Frontal form

learning, actively manages the perception of information, systematic repetition and consolidation of knowledge by students.

Group form

ensures that students' differentiated needs are taken into account.

Individual work

helps to the greatest extent to take into account the peculiarities of the pace of work of each student.

Types and forms of control:

Tests, independent work, individual assignments, tests, oral questioning, quizzes and practical assignments, fulfillment of standards in practical activities are the main component of the educational process.
