on mistakes
Memo for 5th grade students
Read the word, determine the type of error.
Read on to learn how to work on it correctly.
Don't allow these mistakes to appear in your work!
1.
Capital letter at the beginning of a sentence .
Write the sentence correctly. Come up with and write another sentence. Underline the capital letter.
Do

2.
Omitting a letter .
Write the word down. Underline the missing letter in it.
Do

3.
Syllable .
Divide the word into syllables. Label the vowels.

Remember !
There are as many in a word as there are vowels .
4.
Word transfer .
Divide the word into syllables for hyphenation.

Remember !
When hyphenating, one letter cannot be left on the line and cannot be transferred to a new line .
