Playgrounds are important for the proper development of a child. After all, while playing, kids develop. That’s why it’s so important to make a good design for the children’s area. It is difficult to do this with your own hands, but with a lot of desire and diligence, everyone can make a real masterpiece out of wasteland. Playgrounds must have some particularly important qualities. Firstly, safety. Nothing should threaten the child’s health, even little things should be taken into account. Secondly, the playing space should be inviting. In general, you can create an interesting playground, you just have to try.
Types of design
It is known that there are several types of site design. They all have their own characteristic feature. What to choose? Here, as they say, the golden mean is better. After all, the presence of different types of “crafts” will decorate and diversify the site. So, actually, the types of design. The first and probably the most common is the dynamic class.
Yes, it includes everything that affects the physical essence of the child and sets the baby in motion. All kinds of swings, slides, carousels and so on. It is interesting and fun to spend time with them. Therefore, all playgrounds are simply required to have these structures. But where can you go without decorations? They create a calm atmosphere and bring smiles. As you might already guess, the second type of design is different decorations. Decorations can be either large or miniature. Some will interact with the children, others will stand on the sidelines. This is also worth considering. Well, the third type, which is not very different from the first, but still deserves special attention - sports complexes. They are more important than ever for a growing organism. Sports equipment will help to properly shape a child, and instill a love of sports from childhood.
Children's area in kindergarten: you can do a lot with your own hands
So, it’s worth starting with jewelry, because a lot depends on appearance. The most common decorations are crafts made from used tires. Yes, such buildings can be found in the courtyard of every educational institution for preschoolers. Why?
Rubber decorations are durable, they have good qualities such as interactivity (they can be used as ladders, trampolines and other toys), and most importantly, used car tires cost nothing. With the help of tires, you can cheaply arrange a children's area in a kindergarten with your own hands, you just need to use your imagination.
Elements decorating the landscape design of the kindergarten territory
In addition to flowers, trees and vegetable crops, you cannot do without play elements on the territory of the garden. These are swings and horizontal bars, gazebos and alcoves, sandboxes and huts, benches and tables.
Ideally, it is better to use wood for their manufacture - a natural, environmentally friendly material. Metal and durable glass, stone and concrete are also allowed. But the landscape design of the kindergarten area can easily do without rubber tires or plastic bottles as bird feeders.
You can install garden figures on flowerbeds and lawns: mushrooms and gnomes painted in bright colors, animals and fairy-tale characters give the area a fabulous, magical atmosphere and are very popular with children. A small babbling fountain with running water would also be useful. It is advisable to place it away from the playgrounds.
It is recommended to fill the paths between the sites with fine gravel or crushed stone, and sow the areas free of plants and decorative elements with lawn grass. True, it will have to be mowed regularly, but such lawns look bright and welcoming.
Of course, you should not stop at the described techniques. Only a constant search for new useful and creative solutions will turn the territory of the kindergarten into a place where children can simultaneously have fun, acquire knowledge and get accustomed to creative work.

Have you ever thought about how to get our children back on the streets in an age of rapid development of electronics and the influence of the big city? Of course, you can’t just let your child go for a walk alone, but there are places that can be considered safe and interesting for playing - these are kindergartens and schools located in close proximity to home. The landscaped grounds of a kindergarten or school have great potential for dynamic play and learning, and children can explore the natural environment on a daily basis.
Applications made from old tires
If your imagination can’t help in any way in inventing crafts made from tires, then you can use old and proven options. For example, small trampolines. To make a trampoline you will need five tires. They should be dug into the ground as close to each other as possible, so that a flat plane is obtained. A couple of design touches (paint, drawings, stickers) - and the improvised trampoline is ready. Perhaps the most famous use for an old tire is the homemade swing set. Absolutely nothing complicated. To make a swing you will need: a small tree with a horizontal and very strong branch, several meters of strong rope and, in fact, a tire. You can guess how to connect these parts correctly and in what order. The rope should be tied to the wheel, and this structure should be tied to the branch. The only amendment: it is advisable to paint the old rubber wheel so that the children’s clothes do not get dirty. However, such a swing can be dangerous (like, in general, any other)! Therefore, the teacher should always be in the yard if children are playing there.
Winter fairy tale of our site
- August 9, 2013
Competition “Pedagogical Album – 2013”
Nomination “Pedagogical Environment”
Our kindergarten “Solnyshko” annually hosts a competition for the best site “Winter's Tale”.
Staying in the fresh air at any time of the year is of great importance for the development of a child, hardening his body, strengthening the respiratory system, and increasing appetite. And in order to make it interesting for our children to walk in winter, the staff of our kindergarten build snow figures that create in children a feeling of joy, anticipation of a miracle, and the approach of the New Year holidays.
Each section of our kindergarten becomes extraordinary, like in a fairy tale. Unusually beautiful, original in their design, snow buildings appeared this winter on the territory of our kindergarten: characters from children's fairy tales, animals, slides, labyrinths, etc.
The main goal of our buildings is the development of motor activity in children, interest in the world around them, the development of basic types of movements, and the introduction of children to a healthy lifestyle.
Children also took an active part in the construction of snow figures: they cleared the area, raked snow into piles for future buildings, brought snow into a basin for dough, and suggested what could be sculpted. The children helped us with great interest and were delighted with the snow buildings.
Involving children in the creation and decoration of snow buildings contributes to the development of pupils’ labor skills and skills, and a careful attitude towards the results of collective work. By helping to clear snow from the playground and sweep away snow from buildings, children learn to show care and assist their teachers.
Thanks to the joint work of teachers, parents and children, the subject-development environment in winter areas is interesting, useful and exciting. Conditions have been created for the cognitive and speech development of children. On the site with children you can:
- strengthen the ability to navigate in space (right, left, behind, in front);
- consolidate counting and knowledge of numbers from 1 to 10;
- consolidate knowledge about the signs of winter, seasonal changes in nature associated with the winter period;
- expand children’s understanding of the properties of water, snow and ice;
- to form interest in the aesthetic environment of the surrounding reality.
Also on the site in winter, didactic games and exercises were carried out with sculpted figures: “Count”, “Enchanted Road”, “What color”, “Tell the Christmas tree”, “Describe, and I’ll guess”, “Say a word”, “My beloved fairy tale".
On the site of the senior group we built many interesting buildings. Each snow figure has its own purpose. The figures turned out to be large, strong and durable. The buildings are painted with gouache in different colors, which makes them even more fun. The area has become very beautiful, transformed, walks are carried out with great interest.
I offer fragments of the design of my site.
Photo 1. “Miracle stove”
Miracle - the stove greets us and treats us with pies!
Photo 2. “Symbol of the year”
Rusting, rustling the snow, a snake crawled in secret. She stood up and hissed: Come, you who are very brave!
Photo 3. “Mishutka”
The bear holds the barrel tightly, try and hit the target! But we throw snowballs accurately and develop our eye!
Photo 4. “Dymkovo horse”
The horse arched, crawl under me!
Photo 5. “Small Christmas tree”
The Christmas tree glitters with its branches, beckoning us into a round dance. Let's hold hands together and let the sadness go away!
Decorating winter walking areas is a difficult, but at the same time rewarding task. With what pride the children, together with their teachers, build a slide and small play forms! With what pleasure the teachers take walks and the children play in the designated areas! It’s healthy and fun for the kids in winter!

Tire jewelry
Using tires, you can decorate the children's area in a kindergarten with your own hands. Neat little fences can please the eye. Moreover, you don’t have to bother with their construction. After all, it doesn’t take much effort to make a fence out of tires. Initially, the wheels should be painted in rainbow colors (it will look impressive). And then dig them in around the perimeter of the site. It is only important to remember the sequence.
You can make figurines of fairy-tale animals from rubber tires. For example, a bear or a fox. Implementing this plan is quite simple. Two wheels connected by bolts will symbolize the torso. The tire holes should be sealed with cardboard and the faces of the characters should be drawn on it. A little imagination - and a basket of berries and a tree stump will appear nearby.
DIY crafts for the children's garden
Naturally, visual beauty means a lot. Therefore, if the playground does not attract attention, it will not serve its intended purpose - it will not be able to entertain the children. In this regard, the question arises: “How to decorate an area in a kindergarten?” There are a lot of different toys, crafts and dolls that can help with decoration. The main thing is not to be afraid to use your imagination. After all, the brighter and more expressive this or that figurine looks, the more interesting it will be for children to play. Actually, toys and crafts. The children's area is free for any kind of creativity. These can be applications that should be hung on trees, voluminous toys, in general, anything. It’s worth starting with something easier – applied art. Applications are best done together with children. This way the children will be able to feel their participation in the creation of something unusual and interesting.
Applied works should be made of durable material, for example, you can use pebbles or shells. Some word, laid out from the “ingredients” listed above, will look much better than an empty tree trunk. Also, don't forget about plastic bottles. They will also help to decorate the children's area in a kindergarten in a beautiful and original way. You can cut out plastic animals with your own hands, paint them, and give them some kind of role. It is not difficult. As an example, you can take a pig made from a five-liter bottle. Everything is very simple. Ears and legs are cut out. Together these parts are glued and painted. And the cute pig is ready.
Still, you can beautifully decorate the children's area in the kindergarten with your own hands. You just have to try to attract your imagination.
