Class hour "Instruments of a symphony orchestra"

Harp of the Earth

The largest stringed musical instrument really amazes with its large size, but its sounds also delight music lovers.

The creators installed strings 300 m long. At one end they are attached to a massive wooden platform, and at the other - to a majestic mountain in the city of Santa Monica. The huge harp does not require special equipment to play, and concerts are given by only two people.

After the initial success, huge harps began to be installed in many cities in the United States. The strings of some of these harps are stretched directly above the listeners' heads.

Banjolele

Banjolele

The hybrid of the traditional banjo and ulekele, unlike its counterparts, has not gained much popularity among musicians.

A small instrument with 4 strings produces gentle, soothing sounds that caress the ear. But it’s quite difficult for an adult, and even for people with large hands, to play it.

It was not only the small size that frightened the musicians, but also the strange, dissonant name.

Glucophone

Glucophone

For a musical instrument, the name is, frankly, dissonant. But, despite this, he produces quite beautiful sounds, arranged in harmonious melodies.

The appearance resembles a round drum, but it is made of metal. The distinctive petal drum can be tuned in either a major key or a minor key. It has resonators to expand the range of sounds.

When playing it, it is almost impossible to fake it, it is such a universal instrument. The unique instrument has received wide recognition among musicians in Europe and America.

Agogo

Agogo

This unique instrument came to Latin America from the African continent and became the national musical instrument of Brazil.

Consists of bells of different sizes. They are connected to each other, and the sound is produced by striking the body of the bells with sticks. The word “agogo” itself is translated from the language of the African Yoruba tribe as bell.

Widely used in religious rites, during traditional capoeiro fights, and in carnival incendiary samba.

Yanko keyboard

Yanko keyboard

The famous Hungarian musician and inventor Paul von Janko created an instrument that went down in history under his name.

Its keyboard consists of 6 rows of keys, which are arranged in a terraced manner, one above the other. They belong to the same chromatic scale. Unlike simple keyboards, it is easy to learn to play.

The keyboard can play songs that cannot be played on a regular piano. Therefore, musicians often use a fun instrument to reveal all the beauty and possibilities of music.

Synthesizer "Evi"

Synthesizer "Evi"

Electronics also affected the wind instruments, and in the early 1970s the wind musical instrument appeared. The author of the model was Niall Steiner.

In fact, the master managed to combine a saxophone and a synthesizer in one design. It could be played like a regular saxophone. Electronics helped to make less effort to play using breathing.

Modern musicians use the electronic capabilities of the synthesizer by connecting the Evie to a computer.
