EXPLANATORY NOTE
in social studies in 10th grade
This work program of the “Social Studies” course was developed on the basis of the Federal component of the State Standard of Secondary General Education and the Model Program of Secondary General Education in Social Studies of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation 20014, the author’s program in social studies grades 10-11, basic level / Ed. L.N. Bogolyubova, N.I. Gorodetskaya, L.F. Ivanova, A.I. Matveev.
Goals:
• development of the individual in early adolescence, its spiritual, moral, political and legal culture, economic way of thinking, social behavior based on respect for law and order, the ability for personal self-determination and self-realization; interest in the study of social and humanitarian disciplines;
• education of all-Russian identity, civic responsibility, legal self-awareness, tolerance, commitment to humanistic and democratic values enshrined in the Constitution of the Russian Federation;
• mastering a system of knowledge about economic and other types of human activity, about society, its spheres, the legal regulation of social relations necessary for interaction with the social environment and the fulfillment of typical social roles of a person and citizen, for the subsequent study of socio-economic and humanitarian disciplines in institutions of the system secondary and higher professional education or for self-education;
• mastering the skills to receive and critically comprehend social (including economic and legal) information, analyze, and systematize the data received; mastering the methods of cognitive, communicative, practical activity necessary for participation in the life of civil society and the state;
• developing experience in applying acquired knowledge and skills to solve typical problems in the field of social relations; civil and social activities, interpersonal relations, relations between people of different nationalities and religions, in the family and everyday sphere; to correlate your actions and the actions of other people with the norms of behavior established by law; assistance through legal means and means of protecting law and order in society
Tasks
courses make a significant contribution to the implementation of the goals of social and humanitarian education at the present stage of development of society and school:
• promoting self-determination of the individual, creating conditions for its realization;
• formation of a human citizen integrated into modern reality and aimed at its improvement, oriented towards the development of civil society and the establishment of a rule of law state;
• education of citizenship and love for the Motherland;
• creating in students holistic ideas about the life of society and people in it, adequate to the modern level of scientific knowledge;
• development of the foundations of moral, legal, economic, political, environmental culture;
• integration of the individual into the system of national and world cultures;
• promoting mutual understanding and cooperation between people, nations, different racial, national, ethnic, religious and social groups;
• assistance in realizing the right of students to freely choose their views and beliefs, taking into account the diversity of ideological approaches;
• orientation of students towards humanistic and democratic values.
The main objectives of the course are determined based on modern requirements for humanitarian education of secondary school students:
— contribute to the formation of civil law thinking of schoolchildren, the development of a freely and creatively thinking personality;
- convey to students a sum of systematic knowledge in social studies, the possession of which will help them navigate freely in the modern world;
- to form in students an idea of the integrity of the surrounding world with its territorial diversity, complex problems facing humanity, which have their own specific characteristics in different countries;
— to develop the student’s verbal, logical and figurative thinking;
— promote the formation of civil legal literacy.

When determining the option for conducting a lesson, you should focus on a wide range of forms and methods of revealing the content of the lesson:

Requirements for the level of training
As a result of studying social studies at a basic level, the student should: Know/understand
• the biosocial essence of a person, the main stages and factors of socialization of the individual, the place and role of a person in the system of social relations;
• trends in the development of society as a whole as a complex dynamic system, as well as the most important social institutions; • the need to regulate social relations, the essence of social norms, mechanisms of legal regulation; • features of social and humanitarian knowledge. Be able to:
• characterize the main social objects, highlighting their essential features and patterns of development;
• analyze current information about social objects, identifying their common features and differences; establish correspondences between the essential features and characteristics of the studied social phenomena and social scientific terms and concepts; • explain: cause-and-effect and functional connections of the studied social objects (including interactions between man and society, the most important social institutions, society and the natural environment, society and culture, relationships between subsystems and elements of society); • use examples to reveal the studied theoretical principles and concepts of socio-economic and human sciences; • search for social information presented in various sign systems (text, diagram, table, diagram, audiovisual series); extract knowledge on given topics from unadapted original texts (legal, popular science, journalistic, etc.); systematize, analyze and summarize disordered social information; distinguish between facts and opinions, arguments and conclusions; • evaluate the actions of subjects of social life, including individuals, groups, organizations, from the point of view of social norms, economic rationality; • formulate your own judgments and arguments on certain problems based on acquired social science knowledge; • prepare an oral presentation, creative work on social issues; • apply socio-economic and humanitarian knowledge in the process of solving cognitive problems on current social problems. Use acquired knowledge and skills in practical activities and everyday life for:
• successful performance of typical social roles; conscious interaction with various social institutions; • improving one's own cognitive activity; • critical perception of information received in interpersonal communication and mass communication; carrying out independent search, analysis and use of collected social information. • solutions to practical life problems that arise in social activities; • orientation in current social events, determination of personal civic position; • anticipating the possible consequences of certain social actions; • assessment of current events and people's behavior from the point of view of morality and law; • implementation and protection of human and civil rights, conscious fulfillment of civic duties; • implementation of constructive interaction between people with different beliefs, cultural values and social status.
Description of the place of the subject in the curriculum:
In accordance with the federal basic curriculum and model curricula for general educational institutions of the Russian Federation implementing secondary (complete) education programs, approved by order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation dated March 9, 2004 No. 1312. within the framework of secondary (complete) education and in accordance with the curriculum of the MKOU “Golovischenskaya Secondary School”, 2 hours per week are allocated for the study of the subject “Social studies” in the 10th grade.
The federal basic curriculum for secondary (complete) general education allocates 138 hours for studying at the basic level of an academic subject, including 70 hours in grade 10 at the rate of 2 hours per week, in grade 11 - 68 hours, one of which is planned for various types of independent work of students (working with sources of social information, critical understanding of current social information coming from various sources, forming their own conclusions and value judgments on this basis, solving cognitive and practical problems reflecting typical social situations. Assessment of such types of work is carried out selectively. On especially relevant topics of the course, 10 written practical works are planned with mandatory assessment of all students.
General characteristics of the educational subject.
The content of secondary (complete) general education at the basic level in “Social Studies” is a complex of knowledge that reflects the main objects of study: society as a whole, a person in society, cognition, the economic sphere, social relations, politics, the spiritual and moral sphere, law. All of the indicated content components are interconnected, just as the objects being studied are connected and interact with each other. In addition to knowledge, the course content includes: social skills, abilities, key competencies, a set of moral norms and principles of human behavior in relation to society and other people; legal norms regulating relations between people in all areas of society; system of humanistic and democratic values. The content of the course at the basic level ensures continuity in relation to the basic school through an in-depth study of some of the social objects discussed earlier. Along with this, a number of new, more complex issues are introduced, the understanding of which is necessary for modern man. The development of new content is carried out based on interdisciplinary connections with courses in history, geography, literature, etc.

Explanatory note
Program focus
To update the system of knowledge about the types of activities of people, about society, its spheres, the legal regulation of social relations necessary for interaction with the social environment and the fulfillment of typical social roles of a person and citizen, for the subsequent study of socio-economic and humanitarian disciplines in institutions of secondary and higher professional education education.
Olympiad works in social studies in grades 9-11 consist of three parts, which differ in the content tested, degree of complexity and number of tasks. The defining feature for each part of the work is the type of task.
In the process of preparing for the Olympiad work in social studies, it is very important not only to master the content of the course, but also to navigate the types of tasks on the basis of which the written work, which is a form of conducting the Olympiad work, is based. This program is designed to form ideas about the form of test materials in social studies, their level of complexity, the features of their implementation, and are aimed at developing skills tested as part of the Olympiad work.
Novelty, relevance, pedagogical expediency
This program includes topics related to all content blocks of the school social studies course: “Society”, “Spiritual Life of Society”, “Man”, “Cognition”, “Economics”, “Social Relations”, “Politics”, “Law”.
Successful writing of an Olympiad paper in social studies requires students not only to have a deep knowledge of the educational material and an appropriate level of development of leading skills and understanding of the meaning of the tasks included in the Olympiad work, but also the ability to build their mental activity in the right direction. Therefore, planned, systematic activities are needed to develop intelligence, creative and analytical abilities, which involves some training in performing tasks of varying degrees of complexity. Such training can be effective if the student is offered a significant bank of variable tasks that differ in the content being tested, the degree of complexity and the form in which the results of their completion are presented.
This will make it possible to overcome a certain psychological barrier before the Olympiad work, associated with the ignorance of the majority of students how they should formalize the result of the completed task.

a systematic approach that allows us to characterize modern society in all the interrelations and interdependencies of its main spheres: economic, political, social and cultural;
practical orientation, which allows you to apply theoretical knowledge in solving specific situational problems, which is especially significant for a teenager;
an activity-based approach, which manifests itself in the analysis of documents and the development of one’s own position based on this analysis.

economic sphere of society: system of social production, types of economic systems, property and its types, market economy;
the political sphere of society: the state and its features, political regimes, forms of government and territorial structure, political parties, the political system of modern Russia;
social sphere of society: social structure, social role and social status, social mobility, social inequality;
spiritual sphere of society: religion, science, education, art, law, morality.

The course is focused on the Mandatory minimum content of education in social studies for basic general and secondary (complete) schools and meets the requirements of the modern educational standard.
The working additional educational program is compiled on the basis of thematic planning of the course “Social Studies: Theory and Practice” for students in grades 9-11.

Man as a result of biological and sociocultural evolution. The essence of human existence. Human needs and abilities. Degrees of development of abilities. Variety of human activities. Communication, Work, Play, Study, Creativity. A person in a system of social connections. Individual, individuality, personality. Socialization of the individual. Social role. Social status of a person. Freedom and responsibility of the individual.
Topic 3. Economic sphere of society (4 hours)
Economics: science and economy. The role of economics in the life of society. Factors of production: land, labor, capital, entrepreneurship. Production costs. Economic systems: traditional, planned, market. Variety of markets. Property and its forms. Nationalization and privatization of property. Competition. Supply and demand. Variety of markets. Market relations. The role of the state in the economy. The economic growth. The state budget. Securities. Money and its functions. Taxes, their types and functions. Labor market and unemployment. Law, legal system. Sources of law. The concept of law. Rules of law. Branches of law. Basic concepts and norms of state, administrative, civil, labor and criminal law in the Russian Federation. Social state. Social policy of the state. Family and marriage as social institutions. Psychological climate of the family. Social conflict and ways to resolve it. Extremism. Compromise. Tolerance. Interethnic relations. Nationalism.

Student level
It is envisaged that students will develop general educational skills, universal methods of activity and key competencies. In this direction, the priorities for the academic subject “Social Studies” at the stage of secondary (complete) general education are:
determination of the essential characteristics of the object being studied; independent selection of criteria for comparison, comparison, evaluation and classification of objects;
use of elements of cause-and-effect and structural-functional analysis;
research of real connections and dependencies;
the ability to thoroughly substantiate a judgment, give definitions, conduct evidence (including by contradiction);
explanation of the studied provisions using independently selected specific examples;
searching for the necessary information on a given topic in sources of various types and extracting the necessary information from sources created in various sign systems (text, table, graph, diagram, audiovisual series, etc.);
separation of basic information from secondary information, critical assessment of the reliability of the information received;
transfer of information content adequately to the stated purpose (concise, complete, selective);
translation of information from one sign system to another (from text to table, audiovisual series to text, etc.), selection of sign systems adequate to the cognitive and communicative situation;
choosing the type of reading in accordance with the intended purpose (introductory, viewing, searching, etc.);
confident work with texts of various styles, understanding their specifics; adequate perception of the language of the media;
possession of text editing skills;
independent creation of algorithms for cognitive activity to solve problems of a creative and search nature;
participation in project activities, in organizing and conducting educational and research work: putting forward hypotheses, testing them, mastering research techniques, basic forecasting skills (the ability to answer the question: “What will happen if ...");
formulation of the results obtained;
creating your own works, ideal models of social objects, processes, phenomena, including using multimedia technologies, implementing an original plan, using a variety of (including artistic) means, the ability to improvise;
use of multimedia resources and computer technologies for processing, transmission, systematization of information, creation of databases, presentation of the results of cognitive and practical activities;
mastery of the main types of public speaking (statement, monologue, discussion, polemic), adherence to ethical standards and rules of dialogue (dispute).
Expected Results
The proposed training course should help students
In the acquisition by students of experience in cognitive and practical activities, which will include:
working with sources of social information, using modern means of communication (including Internet resources);
critical understanding of current social information coming from various sources, formulating one’s own conclusions and value judgments on this basis;
solving cognitive and practical problems that reflect typical social situations;
analysis of modern social phenomena and events;
reasoned defense of one’s position, opposing other opinions through participation in discussions about modern social problems;
successful writing of an Olympiad paper in social studies.
