This lesson on the subject can be conducted as a general lesson on the section “Diversity of the nature of continents and oceans” and in the form of an extracurricular activity during geography week. The purpose of this event is to broaden the horizons of students and develop cognitive interest in the study of geography. It is organized and conducted in the form of a television game “Own Game”, accompanied by a presentation.
The use of game forms of organizing extracurricular educational work has not only an educational orientation, but also contributes to the formation of an active life position of students, helps to optimize intra-group interaction and develop cognitive interest in the study of geography.

"Good afternoon dear friends! I am glad to welcome you. We are accustomed to studying geography using strict school textbooks, atlases, and encyclopedic publications. Is it always possible to talk about geography only in geography lessons? No. This will be my goal today - to prove to you that geography is an all-pervasive science, and of course we will check how extensive your knowledge of geography is.
2. Presentation of commands.
2 teams compete in the game. They are formed in advance. Players come up with a motto and names for their teams, and choose captains.
3. Statement of the rules of the game:
The quiz was created based on the television game “Own Game” and is accompanied by a presentation. There are five categories on the screen in front of you (slide number 3):
1. Live barometers;
2. In protected areas (Chuvashia);
3. Water on Earth;
4. In the ocean of humor;
5. Geographical records.
Two teams of arbitrary size take part in the game. Their main goal is to answer questions and earn as many points as possible. The team receiving first choice of question category is determined by drawing lots. If the answer is correct, the team's account receives a number of points corresponding to the value of the question, and the team gets the right to choose the next question. If an incorrect answer is given, the right to answer this question passes to the other team. The winner of the game is the one who scores the most points.
Technology of working with multimedia test. Slide No. 3 is a convenient navigator; when showing a presentation, you need to select a category and number of points. By clicking on the number of points, a question automatically appears on the screen, and after a second click, the answer appears. To return to selecting a category, simply click on the control button in the lower right corner.

Extracurricular Activity Ideas
Every teacher, choosing to host an open extracurricular event, is at a dead end with one question - where to get the idea. In this case, there is no need to panic, the idea will definitely appear. You can ask colleagues or students for help. A fresh look will definitely help you find a way out of a deadlock situation.
Ideas for extracurricular activities in geography can be very different, even somewhat primitive. The main thing is that it’s interesting to beat her. And one can only envy the teacher’s creative activity.

An open extracurricular event in geography requires a large audience. Listeners, because otherwise it will be very difficult to control the situation. This event is characterized by such options as lectures, conversations or debates.
The script for an extracurricular activity in geography, or any other subject, must be drawn up without fail. In this way, it will be possible to predict situations that will require special attention. A scenario is a plan for an event, which may consist of the following points:
