Preschool education

The game form of conducting physical education classes outdoors is one of the interesting and common forms of children's activities. The main educational and developmental significance of gaming activities is that they serve as a natural form of transferring to children the necessary amount of knowledge in the field of physical education. At the same time, each lesson, consisting of outdoor games of varying degrees of intensity, allows you to solve important problems aimed at the emotional, physical and mental development of a preschool child.

In order to optimize motor activity (MA) of children in preschool settings, much attention is paid to the organization and management of outdoor games in physical education classes. Research on this problem in 2001-2003. was carried out in GOU No. 1881 of the compensating type of the South-Eastern District of Moscow - a city experimental site. The institution has created the necessary conditions for daily physical education for children aged 4-7 years. Children's playgrounds are equipped with physical education and play complexes, including different types of aids: for exercises in walking and balance - logs, booms of different heights, gymnastic benches; for jumping - sticks, hoops, cones, jump ropes; for rolling, throwing, catching - mounted targets, balls, sets of pins, serso, ring throws; for crawling and climbing - play labyrinths, wooden stairs. Physical education equipment allows you to create variable conditions for conducting game exercises (“Get an object”, “Who can collect the most objects of the same color, the same shape”, etc.).

During games, children make many movements: walking and running on an inclined boom, crawling on gymnastic benches, jumping rope, climbing stairs, throwing a ball into a hoop, etc. At the same time, they demonstrate speed of reaction, dexterity, endurance, as well as courage, determination, resourcefulness and independence. It should also be noted the positive role of the use of aids in outdoor games for the development of the perception of space and time, including the formation of skills in orientation in the environment. There is enough space on the sports and children's playgrounds for children to move freely and realize their creative ideas.

Physical education classes of a game nature are held in middle, high school and preparatory school groups every day on the sports ground in the warm season. When developing the content of classes, the following is provided:

  • use of different types of movements;
  • inclusion of outdoor games of varying intensity: games with running, jumping, climbing, throwing and throwing objects, competition games, relay games, sports games and exercises, folk games, games for spatial orientation, games for the development of attention, dexterity and accuracy of execution various actions.

The purpose of our study was to study the effect of various forms of creative DA on the child’s body. We used pedometers, timing, and heart rate monitoring. Significant individual differences in DA indicators in children aged 4-7 years were revealed. About 60% are hyperactive and sedentary children with deviations in psychophysical development.

Hyperactive children by attention deficit disorder, which prevents them from listening to an adult with concentration and completing tasks clearly and completely. They are characterized by aggressiveness, conflict, motor disinhibition, disorganization, fussiness, impulsiveness, short temper, and mood swings. They have poorly formed mechanisms of self-regulation of activity and behavior. They need to be given motor tasks to develop the eye, strength and accuracy of the throw (rolling a hoop, a ball into a collar, throwing various objects at a target from a distance of 3-6 m, throwing a medicine ball from behind the head and from different starting positions, rolling the ball with one hand between objects).

Along with hyperactive children, sedentary children . They tend to get sick often and have some functional abnormalities. They are characterized by low DA, weak endurance, and a significant lag in the development of basic types of movement (running, jumping, throwing, throwing and catching a ball) from age standards. Sedentary children are not confident in their abilities and refuse to perform complex motor tasks or participate in group games. They are characterized by monotonous, low-intensity activity with a predominance of the static component. The majority show inertia, passivity, indifference, touchiness, tearfulness, and reluctance to communicate with peers. These children are suitable for games and exercises to develop speed, speed of movement and endurance, and to switch from one type of activity to another.

The research materials indicate: balanced children with a favorable level of DA quickly learn the rules of games and the content of game exercises; An explanation and one or two demonstrations from the teacher are enough for them. Children with a low level of DA need a slow demonstration of individual elements of movements with a clear, detailed and repeated explanation, and the presence of a friendly and calm environment.

The accumulation of motor experience occurs in the game. During play activities, children travel in the world of fairy tales, imitating the actions of heroes, demonstrate their motor skills and abilities, and gradually acquire the habit of a healthy lifestyle. In addition, they master different actions and learn to manage their behavior.

To develop children's ability to creatively solve problems in outdoor games, we used search and experimental methods (questions, riddles, cards, diagrams, etc.), which help awaken imagination, create game images, new rules, different movements (dance, rhythmic) , sports), playing with objects and aids.

During classes, one should not forget about interdisciplinary connections. For example, when children perform frog jumps, the teacher, using their knowledge of wildlife, can compare frogs and toads and ask questions about what they have in common and how they differ from each other. The playful form of conducting outdoor activities helps children to show interest and creativity during the game and quickly learn the rules.

Children attending GOU No. 1881 have the second health group (functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system), however, when working with them, much attention is paid to the development of endurance as the most important factor in increasing their functional capabilities. This is facilitated primarily by the correct combination of physical activity of varying intensity, alternating with active rest.

Each physical education lesson held outdoors during the warm season begins with a light jog. To maintain a certain pace and rhythm of running and to prevent children from getting tired, the physical education instructor runs in front, and the teacher runs behind. Gradually, from lesson to lesson, the distance increases. For children who find it difficult to overcome it and who need an individual running pace, medical supervision is carried out. Based on a comprehensive examination of each child, the doctor gives recommendations regarding the duration and pace of running, taking into account the children’s capabilities, and takes an active part in all physical education and health activities. This allows us to create conditions under which each child is able to perform a load that is feasible for him, promoting his physical development and training of the body.

After children overcome a particular distance (from 200 to 500 m), breathing exercises are performed (several times during the lesson). Children should be taught to breathe correctly and perform breathing exercises: this helps develop the respiratory muscles, especially the muscles that provide deep breaths.

Sports games on a walk for children of senior preschool age

Sports games on a walk for children of senior preschool age

Sports games, elements of sports games and sports exercises play a major role in the comprehensive physical education of preschool children.

Methodological recommendations for educators on planning and organizing outdoor sports games for children of senior preschool age.

Rules for selecting sports games

The main rule of selection is the correspondence of sports games to the age-related anatomical, physiological and psychological characteristics of preschoolers.

When working with preschoolers, you can use sports games and exercises in which the maximum available physical activity alternates with minimal or muscle relaxation. Also, only initial, elementary techniques or individual simple combinations are available to preschoolers.

Sports games are mainly played outdoors. Therefore, when selecting them, you should take into account seasonal and weather conditions.

Place of sports games in preschool mode

Sports games in preschool educational institutions should be used at different times of the day.

In the morning, it is not advisable to use sports games and exercises that cause strong emotional arousal or require large amounts of physical energy.

This should also be taken into account when selecting exercises for the evening, because in the evening, 2-3 hours after daytime rest, children’s performance begins to decline. But not immediately after sleep, since children are still lethargic, so the load should be increased gradually, using, for example, corrective gymnastics complexes.

During a daytime walk, you can use sports games and exercises with maximum physiological and emotional stress. During these periods of the daily routine, the basics of the technique of sports that will be leading in the next and current seasons are studied. During a daytime walk, more attention should be paid to sports games and exercises than at all other times of the day. But their place during the walk is determined taking into account other types of activities: observations, work, games, etc.

It is not advisable to carry out sports games and exercises at the beginning of the walk. Here it is advisable to give preference to observations in order to focus the attention of children who have not yet become interested in games.

General provisions for managing sports games

The decisive role in guiding sports games and exercises belongs to the teacher. Preschoolers are not able to regulate the amount of physical activity and do not know how to independently master the physical exercises provided for in the program. They need the help of a teacher in mastering the techniques and elements of tactics of sports exercises and games. Therefore, the teacher must know the technique of exercises and elements of sports games.
