Step-by-step instructions for drawing a Christmas tree with garland and toys for school and kindergarten

  1. To draw a New Year tree with toys and garlands for kindergarten or school, draw an elongated isosceles triangle on a piece of paper. From the top point of the figure, start drawing the top of the tree and wavy branches.

  2. To make the tree ultimately graceful and slender, make narrow tiers of branches, drawing bend after bend at the boundaries of the triangle. Complete the outline of the tree and erase the auxiliary lines.

  3. Draw a small trunk to the bottom border of the tree. And even lower is a pot or bucket in which the New Year's beauty is fixed.

  4. Using curved chains across the entire width of the spruce, lay ancient garlands of small round light bulbs. Don't forget to decorate your holiday tree with Christmas tree decorations of different shapes and sizes.

  5. Color the Christmas tree with toys and garlands with colored pencils, and take it to the exhibition in a kindergarten or school. Or you can complement the image with traditional details to get an extraordinary handmade New Year’s card.

How to draw a Christmas tree with paints step by step for beginners and experienced artists

As in any other fine art technique, when drawing a Christmas tree with paints step by step, it is important for beginners and experienced artists to correctly draw up a graphic frame. The outlines and supporting parts should be thin so that they can be easily removed at the end. The sketch may be sloppy and not entirely clear. But you should start the final painting with gouache or watercolor only after completing all the previous stages.

Necessary materials for drawing a Christmas tree step by step with paints

  • sheet of white construction paper
  • soft pencil
  • eraser
  • watercolors or gouache

Step-by-step instructions for beginners on creating a painting “Christmas tree under the snow” with watercolors

  1. Using thin soft lines, sketch out the outline of the tree in the form of a tall triangle. Then mark the outlines of the branches on both sides.

  2. When the direction lines of the spruce branches are ready, begin to outline the snow covers. But not completely, but only partially.

  3. It's time to erase parts of the auxiliary triangle and give the branches more voluminous shapes. Areas of green spruce not covered with snow must be darkened, and areas with snow caps must be left light.

  4. Draw each branch of the tree, starting from the very top and ending with the bottom. Please note that in living nature there is no place for straight and strict lines.

  5. If you're using colored pencils initially, choose deep greens for the shadows and pale pale blues for the snow highlights.

  6. Draw a background around the tree - snowdrifts, a path, a forest on the horizon, mountains and peaks, etc.

  7. Using watercolor or gouache paints, color the finished image. Do not get carried away with too bright colors, they will make the drawing unnatural and somewhat childish.

If you find out in advance how to draw a Christmas tree with toys and garlands in pencil, gouache and watercolor, you can promptly fill your home with festive comfort and a fabulous atmosphere. And also, help your child win a drawing competition in honor of the New Year 2020 at school or kindergarten. Be that as it may, easy step-by-step master classes with beautiful photographs will never hinder aspiring artists on the eve of magical winter celebrations.

LESSON SUMMARY

ABOUT THE WORLD AROUND YOU

IN THE SENIOR GROUP “NEW YEAR TREE”

Objectives: to introduce the traditions of celebrating the New Year in our country. Develop a positive attitude towards family and public holidays. Introduce the properties of different objects and materials, the rules of safe behavior during the New Year holidays.

Preliminary work: compiling a “collection” of antique and homemade Christmas tree decorations.

Materials, equipment: Christmas tree decorations, illustrations depicting decorated New Year trees.

PROGRESS OF THE CLASS:

The teacher asks the children how many of them remember how the New Year is celebrated, who gives the children gifts? He remembers with them that Father Frost (or even two: the Red Nose, who cheers, the Blue Nose, who freezes) comes to the holiday with the Snow Maiden. What gifts did children receive on previous holidays? Were these boxes filled with delicious things - tangerines, sweets, waffles, chocolates? He says that on New Year's Day they give each other gifts so that each person has something new. They also wear something new for the New Year.

Tells children that there are many customs associated with the New Year. The holiday is celebrated at home, but now often on the street. They launch rockets, explode firecrackers, drink fizzy drinks, wish each other well and make wishes for the next year. The teacher talks about the custom of “cheating” the New Year: tediously change clothes so that old illnesses and adversities do not recognize you, in order to start living in a new way in the new year. To do this, it is fashionable to dress in carnival costumes.

The teacher tells the children that the Christmas tree is an evergreen tree (“In winter and summer – the same color”), one of the few trees that retains its appearance in winter. That is why Christmas tree branches began to be used for decoration for the New Year holiday.

The teacher looks at illustrations with images of decorated Christmas trees with the children and tells that in our country the Christmas tree is decorated profusely, and edible decorations are hung on it: apples (the small yellow Crimean elongated ones are especially loved), gilded nuts (walnuts), patterned gingerbread cookies decorated with painted colored sugar icing. On the Russian Christmas tree, toys are multi-colored, of different sizes and shapes, depicting people, animals, plants, fruits, cones and icicles. Traditional toys: balls, crackers, a star-lantern (folk - made of straw, factory - made of glass rods), a spire or a star at the top.

In the old days, children made decorations for the Christmas tree themselves: beads, chains, lanterns made of paper, toys made of cotton wool (they coated it with glue, painted it and sprinkled it with sparkles). They also made toys based on an empty egg: a clown, a chicken, a berry (they made a hole at the sharp and blunt ends with a sharp needle, blew the contents out through a straw, painted them, glued on the details: nose, eyes, mouth, hair - and attached a thread loop).

The teacher explores with the children what materials Christmas tree toys are made of (glass, wood, plastic, paper, cardboard, cotton wool, empty eggs, wire, straw, etc.) Finds out with them which toys are brittle, fragile, breakable , hard, durable, transparent, soft, hard, flexible. The teacher discusses with the children what else can be made from such materials, where and what they are used for. What is made from glass, from plastic. He recalls with the children what they have already learned about before: what is made from wood, from paper.

Also discusses RULES OF SAFE BEHAVIOR ON NEW YEAR'S HOLIDAYS:

1. Do not pull the tree by its branches - it may topple over on you with all the toys!

2. Do not squeeze Christmas tree decorations - if they are made of glass, they can cut your hand!

3. It is better not to light candles on the Christmas tree. Be careful with all candles, do not bring things, clothes, or hands close to them!

4. Don't stand close to someone who sets off firecrackers! Don't touch the firecrackers yourself!

5.Keep the lit sparkler away from you.
