Objectives: to introduce the traditions of celebrating the New Year in our country. Develop a positive attitude towards family and public holidays. Introduce the properties of different objects and materials, the rules of safe behavior during the New Year holidays.
Preliminary work: compiling a “collection” of antique and homemade Christmas tree decorations.
Materials, equipment: Christmas tree decorations, illustrations depicting decorated New Year trees.
PROGRESS OF THE CLASS:
The teacher asks the children how many of them remember how the New Year is celebrated, who gives the children gifts? He remembers with them that Father Frost (or even two: the Red Nose, who cheers, the Blue Nose, who freezes) comes to the holiday with the Snow Maiden. What gifts did children receive on previous holidays? Were these boxes filled with delicious things - tangerines, sweets, waffles, chocolates? He says that on New Year's Day they give each other gifts so that each person has something new. They also wear something new for the New Year.
Tells children that there are many customs associated with the New Year. The holiday is celebrated at home, but now often on the street. They launch rockets, explode firecrackers, drink fizzy drinks, wish each other well and make wishes for the next year. The teacher talks about the custom of “cheating” the New Year: tediously change clothes so that old illnesses and adversities do not recognize you, in order to start living in a new way in the new year. To do this, it is fashionable to dress in carnival costumes.

In the old days, children made decorations for the Christmas tree themselves: beads, chains, lanterns made of paper, toys made of cotton wool (they coated it with glue, painted it and sprinkled it with sparkles). They also made toys based on an empty egg: a clown, a chicken, a berry (they made a hole at the sharp and blunt ends with a sharp needle, blew the contents out through a straw, painted them, glued on the details: nose, eyes, mouth, hair - and attached a thread loop).
The teacher explores with the children what materials Christmas tree toys are made of (glass, wood, plastic, paper, cardboard, cotton wool, empty eggs, wire, straw, etc.) Finds out with them which toys are brittle, fragile, breakable , hard, durable, transparent, soft, hard, flexible. 4. Don't stand close to someone who sets off firecrackers! Don't touch the firecrackers yourself!
